For once I am not completely miserable! I sincerely hope that this doesn't jinx anything, but for the last week I have felt more-or-less like a slightly tired version of myself. I've had more energy, more motivation, and just generally happier. My only rant being that my sacroiliac issues that I had with DS1 are acting up again. I'm not as comfortable going to the chiro for adjustments due to the complete placenta previa. My midwife and OB have both said I can if needed, but to limit it to once a week. I'm going to try to wrap my hips while I'm at home, and get a belly support thing and hope that helps.
3. What food or beverage are you looking forward to post-delivery that you aren't able to enjoy now?
ALL.THE.CARBS. My BFF made me a mac & cheese bake and had it waiting when we brought DS1 home from the hospital. She's promised to do it again. YUM. Oh, and wine.
4. What post-partum care are you going to put in place to help in your recovery?
With DS I wound up with an infection at the incision site followed by my back completely seizing a week later resulting in an ER trip for a toradol shot. It was unpleasant. This time I'm looking into some breathable pad things to help keep the incision site dry (probably didn't help that I had DS1 in July and was a sweaty beast). I'm also going to get a belly/low hip binder to help support my back and hopefully avoid another ER trip.
General update: Everything looked perfectly normal on the anatomy scan which is a huge relief. He's moving a lot more the last week which has been helping with PGAL anxiety. Unfortunately, in the last 7 weeks my placenta has moved half a centimetre and is still fully covering my cervix and some on the other side. There's still time for it to move, but I'm not super optimistic. My OB said that Canadian protocol is to deliver complete PP babies just after 37 weeks, which means there is a very very real possibility that I only have just over 16 weeks left. That is bananas. I've arranged a consult with a lactation consultant so we have a plan in place since early term babies can sometimes be very sleepy/not great at latching, etc.
1. How far along are you? Team? 27w, 2d - Team pink!
2. Rants, raves, feelings? I'm finding it hard to wrap my head around the fact that I'll be having a baby in about 3 months! When I got pregnant January felt sooo far away but now it feels very, very close. Excited for this weekend so we can do something with DD in her cute costume and my little sister is taking our guest bedroom set on Sunday so we can start painting and move DD1 to that room. We keep calling it her big girl room, but she's totally still in her crib and probably will be for awhile, lol. While I constantly feel exhausted and don't want to do anything, I also want to do allll the things and make both the rooms super cute! I have my level 2 ultrasound on Wednesday. DH isn't allowed at this provider but I'm still excited to see baby girl again and hopefully they can get the missing picture and give me some more news on my placenta!
3. What food or beverage are you looking forward to post-delivery that you aren't able to enjoy now? Raw sushi. I've been wanting a spicy tuna roll so bad! After DD1, I was also thrilled to eat a cold sandwich and that also sound excellent right now.
4. What post-partum care are you going to put in place to help in your recovery? I'm really going to be better about not doing all the things post-partum, letting myself rest more and asking for help. I'm also going to be good about doing some of my PT and yoga stretches to help prevent my sciatic pain from coming up. It was bad with DD1 thanks to the positions I found comfy to BF in but I waited until I was in pain to address the issue.
I'm really trying to make a plan in my head to make sure DD1 is also getting enough attention during the newborn phase. We are for sure keeping her in day-care at least part-time (both for me and because she loves her teacher and friends) and I'm sure grandparents will take her anytime we need, but I also want to spend some time just with DD1. It was hard for me to let other people take DD1 when she was a baby, especially since I was EBF at home, so I'm going to try and be more relaxed so I get get some time with DD1 and just to myself. At least, in theory. hah!

38+2, team blue
2. Rants, raves, feelings?
I am eating everything in sight. Iβve gone through half of a (small) apple crumble pie. Omg so good.
3. What food or beverage are you looking forward to post-delivery that you aren't able to enjoy now?
Red wine. Gimme all the red wine.
4. What post-partum care are you going to put in place to help in your recovery?
I really just need to make sure Iβm asserting myself more than I did with DD in terms of letting myself rest. Covid actually helps since we wonβt have the option to be up and bopping around places like we did with DD, but I just want to take it easy.

I cannot believe how close you're getting!
Yummmmmmm to crumble pie. Pre-GD diagnosis I once made a peach crisp and basically ate only the topping.
