Hey there!
Starting a weekend randoms thread. What are you all up to this weekend besides biting your nails to nubs about the election?
I wore some Halloween themed leggings to work today. One provider is dressed up as Obi Wan Kenobi, another is a Haunted Mansion person (it's a really cute dress), and my doc is a sugar skull. So cool!
I have to take a CPR class tomorrow morning and I'm kinda bummed that I won't get to sleep in, but oh well.
Is anyone making fun food? DH is making chicken chili, I'm making a decadent mac and cheese, caramel popcorn, and Rice Krispie treats.
@@@ We're taking the kids to my IL's house tomorrow to do a Halloween "egg" hunt around their yard, and eating yummy food.

I'm finally able to see out of the chaos that is moving! We're in the new house and my work desk is all set up. The rest of the house, however...
I haven't planned anything for Halloween this year because we've been too wrapped up in the move. Such a shame to waste a rare Halloween Saturday night, but we are completely pooped.

@@@@@@@ We're currently dealing with some sleep regression, so I'm hoping for an early-to-bed night on Saturday. We'll dress DS in his costume and take lots of photos to send to family. H & I will probably eat candy and split a beer before bed.
We are just relaxing at home since I had surgery yesterday. I am struggling on my crutches between my bad shoulder and being in the habit of limping on my right leg. I look comical hobbling around. My mom brought a walker down for me to use and that's a little better on my shoulder but I am not used to using it but hopefully with a little practice I will have it down.
We will likely just be here all weekend, and really all month lol. The weather looks nice out so hopefully people can get out and enjoy it!

Anyone get any trick or treaters? We got exactly zero. I'm not shocked, since I believe there is only one child in my complex of 12 units, but I bought candy just in case she came by. She didn't.

We didn't get any trick or treaters, but we usually don't (townhouse so our door is down a driveway off from the street).
We also didn't go trick or treating. Instead, we did an Easter-style candy hunt in our living room with all the lights off! We handed our kids (4 & 6) flashlights and said go for it. It was so much fun! My 6 year old said it was the best Halloween ever, which totally melted my heart because I was sad about missing out on a normal Halloween at peak Halloween ages.
We never get very many trick or treaters, but we decided that since they were discouraging it this year anyway we'd just turn off our porchlight. Although I did have candy if any stopped by anyway, because a couple of years they stopped by before it was even dark (all the neighbor kids are pretty little).

We normally get over 100 TOTers. This year we got just under 40. I built a candy chute from our front steps down to our walkway to deliver the candy and the kids loved it. Our kids didn't ToT. DD went to a friend's house for an outdoor masked movie night and we hosted the same at our house for DS.
I can't believe election day is here! I'm nervous and excited and am trying to figure out how I'm going to get any work done today. I have over 100 hours of sick time and am thinking of taking today off as a mental health day. But then I'm not sure what I'd do with myself all day.
