I will ask my Dr about this as well, just curious for other opinions...
If my cycle comes on time, we will be doing a frozen embryo transfer right around Thanksgiving. My dr office has said they can push it a few days by using BCP so that the timing won’t coincide with their office holiday closures. Which is great!
However, my in-laws live in Orange County, CA, which is about a 6 hour drive from us. We usually spend either Thanksgiving or Christmas with them (and then flip flop the following year). So we need to decide which it will be this year. Not visiting isn’t an option this year as we didn’t go for either last year (because we had a newborn) and also my FIL is in very poor health. They are responsible and social distancing and all that, though FIL is in and out of urgent cares, ERs, etc.
So - would you rather take the risk just before transfer, or 4 weeks after (assuming it’s successful)?
I had originally thought we should play it safe before the transfer as I would not to risk any delays. But now I’m thinking that, should the transfer work, I REALLY don’t want to take the risk at 4 weeks pg...
Are they aware that you are transferring? You could ask them to get a COVID test and then quarantine for a bit before you come.
They do not know we are transferring (because my MIL could not handle that information in a respectful way) so we won’t have that leverage. I know they are pretty good about following the rules, but no one can be perfect!

Seems smart to get a COVID test on both sides for the holidays regardless.
I’m not sure if there are really good options here, because I don’t think I would go....not worth the risk for me.

Yeah, my preference would be not to go either... it’s just tough with FILs health. We don’t know how much longer he’ll be around. I will think on it more and talk with my Dr. thanks!!
