I can totally see Shane ending up that bad, but I thought it was kinda hard to believe that Nancy would let him get that bad. She likes to keep her people close and she always wanted to protect Shane so he could be better than her, that's why she went to prison for him. I thought she would have caught him faster.
When they're in the gas station at the beginning, Megan tells Silas that she hates Nancy for giving him such a terrible childhood. She probably blames her for him being so desperate for love and a stable relationship that he poked a hole in the condom and got Megan pregnant. And didn't she end up getting an abortion? Teen pregnancy, ruining her relationships with Silas and her family, jeopardizing her college dreams, emotional and physical strain of an abortion... that's a lot of remorse to pin on one person.
Did you think the death of the Rabbi was at all sketchy? I also thought it was really weird that her stepson/shooter worked for her. I wasn't expecting that at all. Oh, and Josh. It took me a few minutes to make the connection and I thought it was kinda weird how he turned out, but I liked the conversation between him and Nancy. I didn't care for the Doug storyline.
I loved Stevie's line about having too many fathers. Bio dad, Andy, Jill's husband, Andy again, Rabbi... poor kid's been through quite a few. I loved every bit of Andy, especially the flashback to his first scene in the series- making breakfast in Nancy's kitchen. I loved it. I miss the show already.

I LOVED this finale! I eat all my words about how the show should have ended last year with Nancy being shot and dying. That was because I felt that Andy and really NONE of the guys could have a productive life with her around... and it was great to see that they did after all, with the exception of Shane. (And I can easily see how he ended up so messed up.)
Megan disliking Nancy made perfect sense as well. Nancy loved her boys but... yeah, she was really a terrible mom so many times and put the kids in horrible situations. I would dislike or at least resent a mother in law like that, too. BUT it was hard seeing her not let Nancy bond with the baby. That wasn't really fair.
The last scene was epic. I watched it twice.
Just an amazing show. It needed to end but I am so so glad they did it well. One of my favorite tv flash forwards.
