It's that time of year again! National Novel Writing Month!
I wasn't going to do NaNoWriMo this year, because *looks around* . . . it's a pandemic . . . but then I decided to say "what the hell," so here I am. I don't expect to hit 50,000 words, but it will be nice to have a creative outlet during this crazy year. I've already got over 3,500 words!
I'm kind of half-assing it in an attempt to just get back into writing. I've got two books in progress for (mumble mumble years) and I'll never finish if I don't write.

I'm writing again this year! I had a great day 1 with 5055 words, bringing my 5k+ first day streak to 13 years. My word count has been super inconsistent but I've at least written something every day. I'm a little over 12k today.
I feel a bit crazy trying to participate this year since I had a baby in August and I'm still getting up at least twice a night, but I'm glad I'm attempting it. This is the first time I've been able to do stuff that is just for me in months thanks to the pandemic and it is nice to try to use my brain again, even if my writing is stilted.

Wow that's impressive! I tried NaNo with an infant and got, like, 267 words for the entire month.
I'm also really enjoying the creative outlet. Plus, it's nice to write about a world where I have complete control over everything. 🤣
