WTF is going on with the Maine vote. Did we ever talk about their ranked choice vote?
Not sure we talked about it. I thought I read an article that said it should help Gideon though. People voting third party were picking Gideon has their 2nd choice. I am still a little confused on how it all works though.
Congrats on the Senate seat CO. I am jealous, the NC senate race just seems to be getting closer.

It’s going to be a while to get real ME results (takes longer to count for obvious reasons) but ranked choice is applying to all the races which is cool. I’m also hoping the ranked choice ballot question passes in MA.

It will for sure help Gideon. It will be slower to tabulate hers though if they’re actually using the ranking to decide the winner, which they should need to.

I finally let myself feel hopeful about 2 hours ago. Now I'm freaking out and in the depths of despair. I'm feeling like this is a repeat of 2016. I know I need to chill, but every time I start picturing waking up tomorrow and finding out Trump won again I feel like throwing up.
It’s showing Texas as red again. 49.3 to 49.4. OH. MY. GAWD. 😭💩
It’s going to be so close. All the big cities went for Biden and some in a big way but Texas is just so dang big with a lot of rural area. I don’t think we are going to pull it out this year but I think we are definitely showing a blue trend I’m excited about.
I don't believe so. PA was not allowed to open mail in ballots until polls opened today at 7am with 7/67 counties opting to not start on mail in ballots until polls closed tonight OR even tomorrow morning.
It appears Ohio was allowed to pre-open/ scan mail ins but could not tabulate until today

Guys, don’t get your hopes up about Ohio. It’s currently is sitting at like 49.6% Biden to 49.1% Trump. I think rural is going to come in last and it will be for Trump. But hopefully I am wrong.

I live between Austin and San Antonio in a solidly red county but the amount of people that I know who broke from the Rs to vote for Biden is really large. The Taylors voted Blue!! We are trying here.
They recently explained on MSNBC how the ranked choice voting in Maine benefits Gideon. I didn't understand it, but thanks for the reassurance, seeyalater52

It's way too early for results, but AZ has recreational marijuana on the ballot again this year. If passed, it will also let every person grow up to 6 plants for personal use, and much husband will legit happy cry. It's been defeated by the slimmest of margins in the last several elections due to major big pharma $$$ campaign against it. Fuckers.
