Art and paint for bedroom - help me decorate!

I’m trying to take my mind off of the news so I figured that I’d post a decorating question. I finally have my bedroom close to how I want it to look. Eventually I’d like white drapes instead of the blinds, but that is a long-term item. Would you suggest art over the bed? What paint color would work? I have a tray ceiling which is pretty low so it doesn’t leave much room for art. Also, how would you paint the tray ceiling? This is the only room that I can’t seem to get together - the current design has been years in the making. Any advice is appreciated!

If you paint the tray white and the top section a deep blue would that work? or maybe it would make the room look smaller/shorter so not a good idea... I'm not so good at this. but love your room!!

With the colours you have in your room, you could do blues or greys.

I don't think I'd do art work above the bed as it is so close to the ceiling.

I would probably flank the bed with mirrors behind the lamps.

Then I would probably paint the whole tray area the same as the walls and leave only the "true" ceiling white. Maybe a lighter blue from the pillows? I don't want the lamps to get lost if you go darker. Maybe try a couple swatches.

I think it's really pretty and 1,000x better than my bedroom. I would LOVE to re-do my bedroom. ANYWAY, I really like the light look overall. I think I would do a really pale neutral-y beige just to have it be a little different than the white. Unless you want a pale blue.

I wouldn't do art over the bed.

Beautiful room! I like the simplicity of it as it is now. I would maybe do mirrors above the bedside tables/behind the lamps as another poster mentioned, but I don't think I'd do art over the bed.

I think a pale blue (lighter than the horses in those pillows but that's my inspiration) or a light blue/gray paint would be nice.

I agree there's not much room for any art above the bed.

I really like the your bed, that rug and the blue bench at the foot of the bed - I agree the room looks great overall.

Thank you! I’ve considered doing just the ceiling in a dark color - the room is pretty big so I’m not concerned with it looking too small.

I never considered mirrors behind the lamps! I like that idea. I also like pale blue for the walls.

Your bedroom is so peaceful and cozy looking! I'm not sure about paint color but I wouldn't put anything above the bed.

I think a mauve color in the tray ceiling would be so beautiful! I agree to layer art/mirror behind the lamps.
