I have a small galley kitchen and have always had a hard time figuring out a rug that will work.
Our back door (which we use most frequently) opens into the kitchen and then you walk through into the dining room.
A doormat always looks awkward because it’s off center from the sink/center of the galley kitchen.
I’m thinking of getting a ruggable runner to go down the center. That way I won’t care if it gets dirty and can just wash it but I’m Struggling with the color.
Our kitchen has black granite counters, light wood counters, and a tan (dirt colored really) floor. The walls are a light beige. I hate everything about my kitchen but I’m not in a position to change it right now.
With that color theme, I think that you have a really great opportunity to bring some color in to your space. This is my absolute favorite Ruggable Rug, I just don't have any where that it would "go" in my house, so I want someone else to get it
I would want dark to hide spills and stains and I think it would work with your countertops and the natural floor tones. If it’s too severe, there are some Aztec print black ones that I like as well.
Thanks for the inspiration to go for color - I don’t think I would have thought bring in so many colors otherwise. I have a lot of polish pottery and this coordinates with that really nicely.
