A little late - so why did we move here?

Geez, I am home one day and I totally miss this. Why is it that we all moved over here? I just don't get it... Maybe it's the Friday morning thing....

It's the new format of TN. While people get up in arms over ANY change (I've seen a few over the years), this one was really SO bad that people left. It's ugly, hard on the eyes, and then it wasn't working! Posts would disappear/reappear, etc. It was really screwy.

The Nest "updated" the forums. People complained about the new features. The Nest subsequently ignored them or told them they would get used to it. Some boards started posting on Bump boards (the only ones still functional) in the meantime. The Nest didn't like that, particularly on the "Connect with Pampers" board where it essentially blew up as Nest Kathleen told the MLers they were ruining the board for the Pampers regulars (who don't exist).

I'm sure there was a lot more, but that's the gist of it. People are just fed up.

I know the Nest makes changes and all... but the new fornat was AWFUL. It seems like most people really like these boards though.

I personally think it is easier to post here.

there was a general dislike of the new format, that most could have gotten over if the new format wasn't also slow and crashing people's computers/phones.

Then the lack of response to the issues from TN pushed it over the edge.

However, there is still a chance we come crawling back if they get their shit together.

The format change is annoying, but we could have dealt with it.

But pages wouldn't load, posts disappeared, etc., for several days with no answers. It seems to be running a little better over there now, but that's because something like 1500 people have moved over here. Their site can't handle the traffic.

Luckily this free one can--and it has a working search function to boot.

Thanks ECB. I noticed that a bunch of the posts were disappearing, but I suppose change is natural. I can deal with this, though.

Bottom line was the TN needs new PR people stat to train their employees how to do with their customer base.

That is truly what pushed most people over the edge IMO.

Ooooooh...I had no idea that those things were going on. I don't work on T/TH so I was home with DD, and totally missed it all, except that there was a new format.

The new format didn't work - like, at all. TN ignored everyone's complaints/questions about it. But they somehow weren't too busy to respond to their sponsor, Pampers, by telling the ML ladies to leave the Pampers board. And they aren't too busy to delete every post that directs people to the new boards or disparages the new format.

Basically TN and the people who run it are real shitty.

TN crashes my work computer, and takes 2+ minutes to load a page on my home computer.

I need a more efficient message board, with better performance. This seems to fit the bill.

Plus, there's a mobile app.
