I finally feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel and we are making progress. Hardwood floors started being laid today. I actually am really liking the color and I think I’ll have them do a clear matte finish without adding much, if any, stain. Tile is going in now too. Stairway being built, millwork starting and cabinets installed next week. Tentative move in of Feb 1. Now to decide paint colors. What are your favorite beige grays for main rooms, a light pink for a 2 year old and a light blue for elementary aged boys. Also, what color with this marble for the powder room? Grout isn’t in yet. Was thinking dark paint. It will have a large white pedestal sink and matching toilet (Kohler Memoirs).

Love the floors! We did most of our new addition in Benjamin Moore Pale Oak. I'm too lazy to dig up an actual pic right now but here's one from online:
We did SW Requisite Gray in our Foyer www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW7023-requisite-gray the sample definitely reads greige, but in our particular space, it looks very gray. Whatever you decide, definitely get samples and paint on multiple walls and look at it in different lights at different times of the day. Our LR/DR paint in SW Opaline and looked white in the paint bucket. On the walls it reads anywhere from light grey, to blue, to green.
If you want to do a bold color in the half-bath, perhaps Navy?
Love the floors and think they will look great will a clear matte finish.
We have white beadboard and SW Nantucket Navy in our guest bath on the first floor. Similar floor tiles with dark gray grout and white vanity with white marble top. Chrome fixtures.
We went with SW Agreeable Grey for our living areas. I love it. However, we made the mistake of going a step darker on the color strip in our bedroom and I hate it; it’s too brown.
Everything looks so good! I love your kitchen!! What flooring did you use for your hardwoods and your daughters on suite bath?
thanks! The hardwoods are 6 inch wide white oak. I think we will stain them fairly similar to their natural state. Let me look up the link for her floor!
