Ceiling fan size

Hey there! I used to post here years and years and years ago, but haven’t been back in a house which we could fix up until last year. I’m trying to decide what size ceiling fan to buy for a bedroom and read conflicting info on a lot of sites. What do you think would be better for a 10’ x 11” bedroom — a 44” fan or 52”?

Honestly, either size would be fine. That said, I’d personally go with the bigger size, the more air movement the better.

I'd get the smaller one. IME, a properly sized fan is the most efficient. We went from a large fan to a smaller one for DD's nursery at our old house and found that the smaller one (that was in line with the recommended size for the room) did a better job of cooling the room.

Thanks for the input! I went ahead and ordered the 44” fans, which had the added benefit or being a little less expensive than the larger size.
