We are house hunting, and we came across this kitchen recently in our searching. I don't think I would choose this personally, but others in the local homes group were going gaga over it.
No matter what you do it's going to look dated at some point and will need to be redone Our kitchen (from the previous owner) is barely 10 years old and our black granite looks so dated to me now and I thought it looked fine (though super annoying to keep clean) when we moved in 5 years ago.
All that to say that if you like green and find the right color, I think you should do it. White cabinets are gorgeous, if that's what you love, but if not, and you plan to be in your home for a while, just do what makes you happy.
I love it. I agree that it's a potentially fleeting trend. I think it's all about the right color and making sure you have good lighting and brightness. (For me, at least... I have learned that I love a BRIGHT kitchen.)
Your post reminded me of this Instagram post the other day... DROOL.

No, I love green but that shade gets a thumbs down from me.
Our massive whole house remodel is starting in a couple months and we're picking interior finishes now. I've always been drawn to green cabinets but I can't decide if we'll regret it or not. My other choice would be white. Floors will be wood in a medium stain (darker than shown in the renderings), counters will likely be honed black granite (trying to get a soapstone-type look). There are lots of windows in the kitchen and it will be very open to the dining room so I'm not too worried about the room feeling dark. I'm mostly just worried about getting sick of so much green!
Curious what others' opinions are - go for the green or stick to the safe option of white? If we do green in the kitchen, we'll do white in the adjoining mudroom, and vice versa.
I love this kitchen. LOVE. I almost got green (like this) cabinets myself when we remodeled, but by the time we did it, the cabinets had been discontinued. I admit freely that I abhor white cabinets and white walls.

Thanks- I still love the green too but we chickened out and chose white. But I also love white kitchen cabinets (not white counters or white walls). We're doing a black leathered granite that will look similar to soapstone and a gray-green subway tile. I will probably pick something like a light blue-gray for the walls. Not exactly the colorful statement I had imagined, but the kitchen will be fairly open to the rest of the house and we have a traditional 1939 house so I was worried we'd get sick of the green or we'd feel like we had to decorate around it. I'm hoping to bring in some color with the mudroom cabinets and other accessories!
froggy76 to get the look from your inspiration kitchen I think you would really have to spring for the custom paint colour. That’s much lighter than I expected.
I think you're right. I got the sample yesterday and I think it's too dark. It looks similar to my inspiration pic only when it's in direct sunlight. I still like it but might just do it in the mudroom instead. I don't want to spend money on a custom color.
