DS2 is Here!

Thank you for reaching out to me last week with well wishes!

I don't have any kind of super exciting or crazy birth story to share, but I'm happy to tell you all that everything went as expected and planned. DS2 arrived via repeat c-section at 8:49 a.m. on Jan 28, and was 8lb 1.8oz, 21 3/4 long. My DH is a repeat rockstar, totally doing the heavy lifting on day one while I was bed-bound. Day two was a lot of work on my recovery: walking, first shower, etc. We were discharged on Saturday morning (same timeline as with DS1) and have been home since, though DS1 is still going to preschool during the days (and he is seriously thrilled about going each day).

DS1 is obsessed with his little brother thus far, though I think he got a little jealous last night. DS2 is "me baby" to him, which just makes my heart explode, and he gives him kisses on the head and wants to help with everything: hands us new diapers, looks to see if DS2 needs his paci, wants to help feed him (we FF) ... and it's adorable. 

DS2 is eating well and sleeping pretty well as of Sunday (Saturday was hellacious), though I've realized I forgot everything about having a newborn lol. And he's super cuddly and wonderful, and since he's our last baby I'm trying extra hard to soak in all the smallness and sweetness.

As for me, my recovery is coming along well. I feel pretty good all things considered and am getting around without issue. 

I have LOVED being a part of this board again, and I'll be peeking in to see how the rest of your pregnancies continue!
