We did a pretty big COVID yard project that included adding a large patio with an outdoor kitchen and wood burning pizza oven. Now is the fun part of starting to decorate it! We've purchased the firepit and sectional in the photo below. The sectional will include one two-seater armless couch (in the photo), one three seater, plus a corner piece. Cushions are in a different color.
We want to add two swivel chairs and are divided on which we like better. So thought I would ask here. Disregard the color, but which chair do you prefer and which do you think looks better with the sectional?
A few details:
Chair A is 36"x39", and the seat depth is 24". So may be too deep and too much of a lounge chair if people are sitting around talking? On the other hand at 36" wide you could have two people sit there together.
Chair B is 31" round, with the seat width/depth at 21" and 22". The cushion on Chair B is not removable so some reviews said dirt gets trapped under the cushion.

If it matters for working in the space, here is the patio area. Ignore the sectional pieces - those are from our deck and were there temporarily for an outdoor movie.

Another shortie here who would be more comfortable in chair B. I imagine I'd have to sit on the edge of chair A for my feet to hang off naturally, but that could work if you had throw pillows.
I'll be the dissenter. As a shortie myself, I actually prefer the larger chair because I like to curl up in a seat and very rarely sit in a chair with my legs hanging off of the front.

I like the look of B. But the size of A. (So no real help). But love your outdoor space. We added a 450 sqft deck and I’m shopping for a patio table. It’s challenging.
It would seem like you could seat two people in the wider chair, but with the way it dips down in the seat, it would not work well.
I like both of the chairs, but I am not sure that I love either as part of the same grouping with the sofa. The first one seems too relaxed for the same area as the sofa (the shape, although it could work in another seating area in the yard), and the second one has a more similar, finished look/feel as the sofa, so maybe it's something with the shape?
I think I like the contrast of B relative to the squared off lines of the sectional. Lovely area!
One tip of sorts, I'm not sure how much rain you get, but it's nice to have a couple non cushioned chairs on an exposed patio/deck. Our cushions on the patio are quick drying but they still hold water in spots, which is frustrating when you want to come out for a some air. I also like those stacking wicker-looker chairs for company b/c they store easily. world market and pier 1 are my go-to places for outdoor items.

Thanks all! We ended up going with A. We are making some large round storage end tables so that will soften the edges of the couch. And I like the idea of being able to curl up more on that chair. And thankfully they are 100% returnable so if we get them and hate them we aren't stuck with them.
