Interior painting blogs?

Hi folks,
Can anyone recommend blogs or websites about painting? I want to paint my TV room but I'm not sure where to start. I feel like there are some universal decorating guidelines that I just don't know about.

Just painting, really. We've discussed painting our tv room a dark grey, and thought to do the ceiling as well. After looking at some similar tv room pictures, I noticed most keep the ceiling white. That made me wonder what else I don't know!

I don't know about blogs, but I would definitely recommend against painting the ceiling the same color as the walls. My MIL has done that to some of their bedrooms and it is not a good look. Plus, with grey it makes the whole room darker. We recently repainted our office and because we bought a new build, all walls and ceilings were spray-painted with the same color (SW wool skein). I had to paint the ceiling a soft white first, otherwise it would have looked weird against the dark blue walls.
