Week of March 1st

What’s going on this week? Anything exciting?

A pretty boring week over here.
M-going for a walk to a park, and stopping by the library
Tues- DD is in daycare, so I am going to try and get some cleaning done
Wed- another park visit but no other plans
Thurs- dd is in daycare, making my todo list for going back to work.
Fri- probably a park visit but not sure what else
Sat/sun- maybe a dump run to get rid of our yard waste, after trying to remove some invasive trees/weeds.

I can’t believe I’m going back to work on the 29th.

Whatever works for me!

Today has been a busy day just because we went to get the kids and we got home 5 minutes before I had to be on Zoom for a meeting. I just feel like I'm so behind where I normally am on a Monday but that's ok because we had an awesome weekend - part relaxing, part getting some stuff done around the house.

Pretty quiet/normal week for me here. R is in preschool T/W/Th mornings and on Wed mornings I also deliver for a veggie company. Otherwise, just work.

It's my birthday 😁 I took today off and have just been relaxing, then I went to the book store and craft store. Now waiting to pick up dinner!

Not really much else going on. We went to my parents this past weekend and got some stuff from Ikea. While we were there, my mom took the kids to the store to pick out flowers, balloons, cards and a cookie cake ❤

Yesterday we went and purchased all new kitchen appliances. 😳 Our dishwasher died 6 months ago, one of our big stove elements hasn’t worked in a year, and our range fan is broken. So new appliances are needed. I also hate our fridge so we decided to replace that too.

I will be so happy when it all arrives but until then Urg to the Bill of being an adult!

I feel you on the adult thing. The roof in the play room is leaking because the roof is flat in that spot and the melting snow worked its way in. Awesome. We're pricing out redoing the windows and sheet rock in there. It's a lot, but will be worth it!

We're in the process of looking for a new (to us) car for DH. He commuted via metro/bus for the last 6 years but now that he's driving, he needs something more reliable. Even though the payment will fit in our budget I'm still a little sad about it since we haven't had any car payments in a while!

We did the roof when we bought the house. As it needed to be done badly.

And now that we spent the money on the appliances I’m over the cost and excited about them. Lol

Well the roller coaster that is supervisors in my department is finally over. They announced who got it today. I'm just sad and angry about this whole thing. I won't get into the details but they made exceptions for people to be instantly promoted twice but refused to make exceptions to the 9 month in a role rule. Just dumb. But I'm trying to remind myself that it wasn't anything I did, and management fought hard which really means a ton. Hopefully it won't be another year and a half before another one opens!
