I posted a while ago that I needed to do a bathroom renovation and would be managing it remotely due to Covid. Well, I just hired a contractor! Now I need to pick out materials. I've been lookin on Pinterest but it all sort of looks the same to me, very. Where else do you go for design inspiration?
If it helps, it's a 5'x7' windowless, full bathroom in a pre-war NYC apartment building. I'd like to nod to the building's history but incorporate modern twists. Also, there's a chance we'll be selling the apartment in the near future so I don't want to do anything too funky or unique.
This is our first time ever doing a gut renovation and I'm excited to finally get started!

With using Pinterest, I make sure to use a lot of different key words - such as bathroom renovation pre-war. You may see pre-war bathrooms that were renovated, bathrooms to look more pre-war, etc.
I also used Houzz and checked out design magazines.
We used Houzz. Just make sure that if you're saving photos as inspiration because you liked something, make sure to leave a comment about what you liked about.. we had so many where I was like "ummmm.. yeah? Why did we mark this?!?!"
The more you use Pinterest, the better it gets. I used to prefer Houzz, but now I find everything on Pinterest. Use search words, and if you find something you like, click on it and you'll get more like that if you scroll down. Keep doing that and you can really go down a rabbit hole and refine your Pinterest feed to show you the kind of stuff you like.
