I have several clutches and small bags to make. Got an AirPod pro case stitched out last night. Gonna set the rivets and snap later today. Photos later. It’s been slow going.
I have a bag half cut out. I have no focus and no drive to get shit done right now. I cast on the first sock foe sock madness today but im doubting I'll even make it through the qualifier.
I have decided to start selling my soap, which I haven't really shared here, but thats where all my extra energy is going. I'll share pictures when i take product photos, for sure, but it's still so much to do it's kinda overwhelming.
I have a tiny new nephew (a premie, still too small for the hats and sweater I've made so far), so I knitted some fruit rattles and crocheted a koala bear and a blanket to bring when I met him. I took so many pictures of baby, but somehow missed photographing any of those (outside of pictures he's in). I finished another G.O.G.E.E. toy for DD, but, she "adopted him" before I could add a mouth or take a photo. He's in worsted weight yarn, so much larger than the other two. I'm printing a circlular loom I threw together, whipped up a few more crocheted coasters (love the popular "citrus" coaster pattern on Ravelry for these), and spent a great deal of my creative energy helping DD with her art. She's had some pretty intense art assignments this (virtual) year!
But, I can get pics of this little toy! I originally dyed the yarn for a bunny, but this disapproving bear happened instead. I've been crocheting toys with a front wrap (vs the typical back wrap) for some time now, but it suddenly feels "normal" enough to do with speed. I really love the tight fabric it makes, so it's nice to have the rhythm down!
I broke down and bought a Cricut Maker. I'm working on a few things right now, but this is my first finished project.
I buckled and got a Cricut too. I’m such a nerd that I had to justify it by doing a cost analysis. Assuming I use it for nothing else, my break even point is cutting 20,000 quilling strips 🤣🤣🤣

Omg, how dumb am I? It never even occurred to me to use this to cut quilling strips.
Have you considered doing a piece that combines quilling and lots of small, cut images? I'm trying to decide how that might work, or what would be cute. I have a friend who's obsessed with bees. Maybe a quilled beehive with a bunch of honeybees all around? Hmm.

That would be adorable! I made a California quail for a friend and she’s going to do a painting as the background for him. I’ve also done a ton of the diamond dots painting things and I want to figure out a way to use the leftover dots with quilling.
My goal for today is to finish the last 4 rows of the shawl I have been working on for 1.2 years and block it tonight on DDs bed while she has an overnight at grandmas! The race is on!

Just in under the wire, my stupid shawl that I have worked on for 14.5 months. I don’t even know if I really like it. The longer tail at the top is really long and wraps awkwardly on me.

It's lovely, shame it doesn't sit nice. Have you tried blocking it - it's hard to tell from th epicture, but it looks like you could block it out so the long tail is less....taily? But now you're FREEEEEE!
I always feel that way about bigger projects. I'm just so happy to have finished it that I can rarely really love the thing right away.

I actually had to block it down to make it meet the pattern measurements. I remember doing a swatch at the beginning, but the yarn is thinner than I feel like it should be for a DK, more of a sport weight, and it grew like mad when wet.
Michelle, they’ll go on the front door. I sprayed a sealant on them so hopefully they’ll hold up well. The spring one has been up for about a month now and so far so good.
