'Fess up, everyone. Pandemic + increased time on the computer + retail therapy = way too many impulse purchases, at least for me. My most recent one was these wineglasses with little sharks in them:
I also bought a shawl that looks like a moth because I was weak when the Facebook ad came up. Can't think of anything else particularly weird -- I funneled a lot of my energy into getting my husband's home office set up. Anyone else want to share?
I think my biggest pandemic impulse has been to scrap the renovation plans and try to buy a new house. So far two showings, one open house, and no luck.
I've done a ton of impulse purging. Not quite what you were asking!

The sectional for our basement - sandrew from Macy’s. It’s great though bc we’re enjoying more shows downstairs after the kids go down. But buying it after our renovation hurt (still chunking off that bill).
I kind of love those shark wineglasses... not that I need more wineglasses!
Having a patio built takes too much planning to be "impulsive", but I'm not sure I would have pulled the trigger pre-pandemic. I just get so much extra time outside WFH full time.
The majority of our first floor reno was an impulse buy LOL The original plan was just to redo the 1/2 bath and create a pantry, next thing I knew, we redid our entire first floor except the kitchen LOL
There are other things. I'm currently looking at the rowing machine that I have sat on exactly one time.
I am now the proud owner of a lemon tree! It has a bud and I check it daily to see if it's growing.
Oh, where'd you get it from? I've been wanting to get one for a while now!
And this does not count as an impulse purchase since I've been thinking about it for a while
Home Depot! It’s a ponderosa lemon. It’s almost 4’ tall and I paid $40. I have no idea what the going rate is or if I overpaid. I wanted something for a corner in our dining room, but I was thinking plant stand and a smaller plant. then I saw this and had to have it. It makes me so happy!

Their fruit is huge! You can make a pie from just one.

Nice! I impulse bought a lime tree last year and it has a bunch of little limes now. I neglected it for a while but as soon as I started using citrus fertilizer it started flowering and growing fruit, so I would recommend using citrus fertilizer if you're not already!
Recently I've been impulse buying things for my garden. I have so many seeds and plants coming.

Puppy. Clothing (leisure-wear in quantities I never would have purchased otherwise). Ongoing beer boxes. Loads of pictures for the walls including these:

The think the most impulse purchase was an Ooni pizza oven. H has upped his pizza game during the pandemic and bought this to try something new after using a steel slab to basically turn my second oven into a pizza oven.
Oooh hbomdiggity does the Ooni work well? I have also upped my pizza game and being able to make them faster would make family pizza night where we all get our own awesome pizza way more enjoyable. Right now it takes about 45 minutes to cook them all between reheating the pizza stones and the time it takes to cook a thin crust pizza at 500F.
This thread is best read in the voice of Tom and Donna from Parcs and Rec -Treat yoself!
Adding to the thread, I ordered some online Japanese maples and a dwarf weeping japanese snowbell. And I'm waiting on a pineapple broom that may never come.
We bought all new living room furniture (in early October - it finally arrives this week!)
Fire table (best impulse purchase ever)
Pogo sticks (for the kids)
A desk attachment for the treadmill
Lego hogwarts
Really, the question is what DIDNT I impulse purchase this year
If you don't mind, who did you order furniture thru? Most places seem to be about 15 to 20 weeks out. If I'm waiting that long I want good quality, so looking for company recommendations.

Arhaus. It’s finally arriving today! Apparently people buying now are getting delivery dates of august

I hope you love it! Will you report back? I have my eye on an arhaus sofa but H and I want to actually go to the store to see it in person yet, and we just haven't taken the time.
