Our house is at chaos level 11 today. Beau's son is remote as usual, the girls are also remote today, and we have neighbor's kid here since he's remote for the day too. Beau is handling it like a champ though and I'm just locked in my office listening to the chaos happen around me. He's managing K, 1, and 3rd grade x 2. Better him than me! I think he thrives on this level of busy/crazy though, so it's working out.
No school here so DD is having a grandma day and I'm working in peace. Except the latest windows update messed with my computer so every time I go to print it blue screen and errors me a win32kfull.sys Ugh Its sunny out at least

We'll be celebrating DS's birthday this weekend. I'll give him his presents tonight. I ended up buying him a mini electric guitar and will get him lessons. I think we'll also be babysitting Beau's 2 year old grandson tonight too. Tomorrow, we'll drop off his grandson, attempt to pick up the trailer he purchased from his cousin (for the 10th time) and let DS pick an activity. Bowling alley's just opened up so we may do that. It's only 2 people per lane, so it kind of sucks we have to rent two lanes for the three of us.
Sunday I rented a movie theater for DS so we could watch the new Tom and Jerry movie for his birthday. I invited his two cousins, but I'm not sure they're going to show up. We'll see my parents at their house for pizza beforehand.
It’s a beautiful sunny 65° day here. Kids are at school but I saw on Instagram that they’re all eating lunch outside. Nothing better in March in NE than a picnic!!
DD2 has futsal tonight, DD1 has basketball playoffs tomorrow. My parents are coming for dinner tomorrow night to celebrate DD2’s birthday. Sunday we have nothing planned. Probably just prepping for a crazy week. DH will be gone for most of it - he’s going to help his mom out with a few things.
I have plans!!!! I have not said that since, who knows??? Going to a winery for a good friends 40th. We are all fully vaccinated healthcare/first responders and our state just opened to 60% and a 3.8% positivity rate. I cannot wait. Dh is not going since he is two weeks away from the 2nd shot.

I’m so, so tired so I think it’ll be a quiet weekend. Sunday DD1 has riding lessons but otherwise we are planless. I have been swamped at work and handing the bulk of the parenting for the last couple weeks and weekends so I might go off by myself tomorrow and just be by myself. Maybe take a long hike.
Next week is spring break and we are working most of it so the kids will just be bumming around. I want to do a family thing Sunday but I am stumped. I had thought of kayaking down some springs with manatees, maybe even a glass bottom kayak tour, but it’s fast warming up and so the manatees may have left the springs by then. Idk. Stumped.
I scored DH a COVID vaccine appointment for a week from today. I’m so glad! A good friend said as soon as he’s two weeks past the second dose, we are all going to eat dinner on a patio somewhere. I’m really glad about that.
I am so glad it is Friday and that it is almost over. Work has been slow today, but I've had several students email me about the quiz I gave on Wednesday. They were each complaining about the difficulty of different questions. After sending them links to the lecture notes and homework where the info is presented, they have finally calmed down. My dad is coming over in a bit because he is bored. My mom is working longer hours now that tax season is in full swing. I try to invite my dad over for dinner or random stuff during tax season so he's not bothering my mom for stuff to do. I'm going to kick the kids outside in a few minutes since it is sunny and 60 degrees. DH might work on pulling more of our old deck down too. Only plans for this weekend include finding a gift for DS2 since his birthday is on Thursday and I have to go to a socially distanced bridal shower for my nephew's fiancee on Sunday afternoon.
librarychica, DD has been watching the manatee webcam from one of the springs. It is such an addicting thing to watch and I swear they interact with the camera.
Computer Saga Update: Waiting on a driver update for our big copy machine and then hopefully we will be fully back up and running!
DD just asked my mom if she could have another day with her tomorrow instead of hanging at the office until her private lesson. I will get to work for 2 whole days without a kid bugging me!!! We celebrated her 1 year work anniversary yesterday so she is due a "vacation".

We have soccer and soccer this weekend. I think DH is taking DS1 to the track one day. I need to go to Costco for my first time ever tonight or tomorrow to figure out how to order a fridge. It says out of stock online and idk if that means forever, for a month, or for 6 months.

I went into the office today so it was nice to see one of the other girls I work with. However, I got a splitting headache on the way home so this evening has been rough since DH is at work. I did get to catch up with SIL when I was picking the kids up so that was kind of nice.
Tomorrow DS has art class. DD will have to come with us since DH won't be home before we need to leave and her and I will go run errands for an hour and a half during class. Then we will come home and get ready to have my mom, brother and his kids over for DD's final bday celebration. I'm hoping to squeeze in a workout between art and the party.
Sunday will be full of laundry and little projects like sealing shower grout. So. Exciting.
It’s restaurant week so we’re having people over tonight to sit outside and eat takeout pizza. Was supposed to be 3 families but the neighbors bailed last night. NBD for us because we are well aware that they’re unreliable. But the other family who is still coming has a kid who gets hyper fixated when plans don’t happen as expected. I wish them luck communicating the change in plans. :/
Tomorrow I’m planning to fold laundry and watch TV in bed. If there aren’t any vaccine side effects, maybe get my bike ready for spring (clean it, air in tires, etc).
Work is killing me softly. It’s a long story that I can’t get into right now but I called my boss a motherfucker to his face yesterday and almost quit.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
You guys are so kind. You don’t have to do that, although I really appreciate the offers. Please just pray or send positive thoughts. I can’t say too much yet.
