Week of March 22

DH got his first covid vaccine shot today! On Thursday his work asked who would be interested in getting on a waiting list so he signed up....Friday he got an email saying he had an appointment today. We didn't realize they meant it would be available so quickly! I'm on the waitlist for the county and I'm guessing it will still be a while but they are starting to move a lot faster.

Should be a fairly normal week here, which is good after the weekend away.

We got a message today that we had to come pick up A and keep her home until next Friday because of exposure. Ugh! It's our anniversary tomorrow so we were going to go out to lunch but now we're just going to hang out at home I guess, haha. So.. that will be interesting. I took some part days off because she's much more difficult to manage haha.

My ILs got their second shots today! I'm so incredibly happy about this! Hopefully they don't have any major side effects!

ewall I'm reading a good book too! Current read is Uprooted. It's fantasy and I really like it!

I got the email today to schedule my first vaccine shot! I wasn't expecting to hear so quickly.

We are talking about moving this summer...now that DH works in MD, it makes more sense for us to live out there. We are meeting with our realtor here tomorrow to get an idea of what we can sell for. The market is super crazy so I have no doubt we'll sell easily at least.

Yay for all who are getting their vaccines!

We had a rough first half of the week with DS1. Horrible (2 hour long) meltdowns due to writing numbers. Part of it was ABA issues that escalated things more than needed but he’s also been having consistent battles with these assignments (even if I break it down and give him plenty of breaks and even positive reinforcement). I finally emailed his teacher and she talked to him Thursday (and had him redo a worksheet he ripped) and I had a completely different kiddo the last part of the week.

Rumor has it that school will go back to full time mid April. We find out officially early week. I emailed our OT and she doesn’t have other appointment spots so that’s going to be an issue since that’s been a very helpful service to gain progress on emotional regulation. ABA will be affected too (we could do our hours but it probably wouldn’t be fair to DS1). Curious to see how DS1 does during all day school...I guess it will be a good trial prior to 1st grade.

Good news- we had a wonderful hike this morning! So nice to get outside and get some exercise that wasn’t walking to and from school! It was in the mid 70s today and supposed to be low 80s tomorrow!
