I'm curious about the polymeric sand thing. We have a brick paver patio that has a lot of weeds and a few bricks need to be reset. This would help with weeds, right?

That's my hope. We had our patio done just under three years ago and there were no weeds for the first two years. This winter into spring we have had a TON come up through the cracks. I remember our contractor saying we'd need to reapply so I am guessing this is why.
Also tempted to try ourselves but want to price out before I break my back.

I'll be curious to see what people say on this. Our paver patio is probably old. We moved in 7 years ago and it was old then. We need to redo our front walk and also a side path we have. So we may have them fix the back patio while they do that. But...like everything else in the house we'll probably try to push this off a few more years.
1. I just got a couple quotes and our half acre lawn was ~$450 for aeration and overseeding
2. No help here
3. We got a quote for a French drain for a wet area of our yard and that was 7 or 8K. We decided to cheap out and just add some more soil to that area instead. It has helped, but not eliminated the problem.

1. We pay $390 and we're on a half acre, so hopefully you're high (Weed Man is our service)
2. Would they powerwash to prep and then sand it? I'm guessing $500? FWIW - I hated polymeric sand - it didn't work for us, maybe for like 2 months? I don't know if there are better answers though
3. I want a dry well too....not sure what they cost. I'd guess $1000? Mostly labor to dig it in and put some rock around it?
icedcoffee, if it's level and in good shape otherwise, I would think it might work?
kate, oof, that's rough on #3. If that's the case, we would surely do it ourselves.
simpsongal, that's a bummer about the polymeric sand. Like I said, ours lasted two+ years with minimal to no weeds (just a little surface moss in really damp areas). If they charge per service, I would gladly spray some roundup, power wash, and get it prepped for them. But I would hope they'd do it all. Maybe? lol

No clue on costs but I did the polymeric sand myself on our patio a few years ago. Mine also didn't work great but it may have been error in my application. I'm going to do it again this spring. The biggest part of the job is weeding/cleaning. Use a power washer to speed it up.
