I have a tension headache (I think) and I should be glad that it's not a migraine, but it's still annoying.
I need to leave in about 15 minutes to go to OT for my wrist, and then I'm going to Costco. My H suggested last night that we might need cat litter and when I just kind of looked at him he quickly said if I couldn't manage, he'd make a separate trip later for cat supplies. I feel like I might be able to manipulate it into the cart, but I'm not sure about actually getting it off the cart and back up into my car.

Has anyone used Better Help? I need to work through some things and signed up a week ago. I wasn't sure what to expect, but feel like I've received nothing since. Seems like they won't discuss anything until your first meeting, but due to time/IT issues, it'll over a week.
I'm just frustrated, I can't find anyone local without a really long wait, and I can't talk to anyone IRL. Ugh, I'm just struggling right now.

My guy turns 3 today. I can't even tell you all how often I think about the support I received here during my pregnancy. I am so thankful he made it. 🧡
I took off work so we could have a choose your own adventure day together. We had donuts for breakfast, went to check out dinosaurs at the children's museum (we had the place to ourselves!), played at the playground, had a picnic with chicken nuggets outside and got to play with trucks in his sandbox. He's having a blast. I recorded a bunch of 5 second snippets of our day and I cant wait to make a video for him. He loves watching himself 😂

Oh my goodness the babies big and small! Happy birthday to all of them. So glad to see them strong and healthy too <3
gerberdaisy, DH and I found someone through our PCP, but that still took several phone calls before we could get an intake. Just a thought to try to get something faster.

So happy for you and your FIL @rocabee.
sproctopus I might borrow your choose your own adventure bday idea, that sounds amazing and he is beautiful.
I have the kids at eye doctor appointments. We didn't get eye exams last year, hopefully no issues or need for glasses. After this we are dropping off a treat for 4 yr old niece. She broke her arm in two places the other day...fell off the top of their cat tree. I'm sure it was a good idea at the time. We will get to sign her cast too.
Got all 3 kids signed up for sports camp and swimming for June. We are wait listed for tennis, which isn't a big deal. Just need to have a couple things to busy ourselves that month and then we will be gone most of July and school will start back August 6th. It will be good to have some free time in June as well, so not looking to overschedule. Those 2 things are 2 more than we had last year. We will take it!

The situation in India is devastating. Hearing the firsthand accounts of what is going on from my Indian expat friends is so unbelievably sad. So much death.

Costco will be more than happy to have someone help you with whatever you need. I had a broken wrist a few years ago and they were amazing! They had someone help me get heavy things into the cart, through check out, and into my car on every trip. Just stop at membership and tell them what you need.
FFS. I had a huge drama around fixing my HVAC system and getting our heat pump compressor replaced this winter. We had backup heat running for 2 months while it was being fixed. The heat seems to work fine now, though it hasn't run much since being fixed due to warmer temps outside.
Today it is hot outside, so I shut the windows and turned on the AC. After running for a couple of hours, I noticed it was still really hot in the house so I looked at the thermostat. The temperature had gone UP 8 degrees since turning it on! And it definitely felt like it was blowing hot air. I went into the laundry room to change the washing, and the unit in there was super hot (like I felt hot air when I walked in). I shut it down and put in a ticket with our home warranty company to have someone come back out, but come on! It worked fine last year so whatever the issue was that screwed up the compressor this winter was should have fixed this too IMO.
The HVAC system was new in 2016 and we had an inspection, so I don't know why we are having so many problems with it. Thankfully our home warranty runs out on Saturday, so putting in a ticket today should mean this is covered. Thank goodness it was hot today!
I have had this annoying dry cough for a few weeks (allergies..not covid. Yes, I am sure) and I am so tired of it. It makes me gag and even puke and keeps waking me up. None of the allergy meds seem to make any difference. WAHHHH.
OMG I’ve had that same cough, also to the point of almost puking and it never even occured to me to think of allergies! Thank you for solving this mystery that’s been driving me crazy for weeks now!!

Do you have a reset button on your compressor (outside unit)? It's really embarrassing to have a tech come out, push that button, and everything magically work- so I suggest doing it first, if you haven't. LOL

LOL the only reason I even know it’s allergies is because I had the same exact thing last April/May when I wasn’t leaving my house. It’s the only possibility and now I’m realizing I get it every year but normally I just assume it’s one. Of the 1200 cold viruses I get each year. Thanks covid quarantine for clarifying what is happening! 💡

It's my boy's 10th birthday today. Double digits (do what now?). His teacher sang to him, he played Pokemon Go w/ one of his buddies, and my family is the best--they all sent him the best presents (read: I told them what to buy to complement what we gave him) and called him. He requested wings and spinach salad for dinner, and I made him cupcakes (they turned out amazing!). Now he's playing with the handheld video game device he got. It was a beautiful day. He's the best thing that ever happened to me, and I am so lucky to have him.

Hmm, I have no idea! I will have to take a look when it's light out tomorrow. Thanks for mentioning! I hope that's all this is. It's hot in this house!

It's usually pretty obvious (like bright red). Sorry, hot is no good for sleep!

I’d get checked for bronchitis. I had a similar cough a few years ago that I thought was just allergies but it turned into bronchitis bc I couldn’t stop coughing. Like at all. Do your abs hurt from all the coughing? Mine were so sore. I went in and the doctor was all “how the hell are you still standing?” Lol.
Also this allergy season has been the worst until I got Flonase and I tried everything, Claritin, xyzal, Allegra, etc. I know it’s always different for different people but I didn’t even think of that until my sister mentioned it.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
I got my second shot yesterday. My only side effect is I am TIRED and my arm hurts a little. I got Pfizer and the lady administering the shot told me to drink at stay hydrated and drink gatorade. She was right. I have been chugging water and gatorade. I even woke up thirsty in the night multiple times.
Yes! That is pretty much me too. No one told me to drink Gatorade, but I hate drinking water. So I chugged Gatorade. I was so thirsty too. I'm even wondering if there really was anything in that shot 😜

Doh! I didn't see this until well after I'd gotten home. Oh well, we still have plenty of cat litter (and food) for now and if my H has to make a trip on his own it's really not the end of the world. There are so many Costcos near us that it's not really any different to go to Costco than it is to go to the grocery store.
I am a broken record on this but check in with your doctor. This sounds very much like allergy induced asthma. This is how it presents for my DD.
Hmm...interesting. I have spoken to my PCP about it. She recommended Claritin/Zyrtec/Allegra. They do absolutely nothing. Maybe I'll check back in.
I'm most definitely not an essential oils cure cancer person, but I do have to say that I make my mom an oil blend because she non-stop coughs from allergies and it helps her so much! It helps my son and I too and I've made it for a few friends as well:
