So, he knows you know he uses pot, but doesnβt want you to know heβs smoking? Or is it that heβs smoking in his car/driving? But regardless, heβs lying.
I have two bottles of edible gummies in my nightstand and they don't emit any weed smell. My apartment only smells like weed when my neighbors smoke and the edibles themselves don't smell like weed at all.

DH uses edibles to help him fall asleep. Iβm really sensitive to the smell and can smell it when he opens the packaging and for awhile afterward. This is with individually packaged chocolate pieces. He used to use homemade cookies and those were waaay worse. Iβm assuming it would depend on what the edible is.
Don't get caught up in semantics. High is high, it doesn't matter if he's eating or smoking.
And while operating a car? I HATE when I drive behind people and their car smells like dead skunk. The last thing we need on the road are more impaired people.
So professionals said it wasn't helpful, you said you didn't like it, and his defense is he isn't smoking it just eating it? As if that justifies violating what sounds like was a boundary for you.
I'm sorry. I'm glad you're not falling for it.
This is where I am. I donβt understand how eating it instead of smoking it is somehow a justifiable explanation in this scenario. Weed is weed.
I'm sorry he's lying to you, and trying to make you feel like you're the one who's wrong.
Edibles from a dispensary, at least in WA, are packaged in heavy plastic that's very tightly sealed as basically a safety measure to keep kids out of it (I'm sure a super determined person could get into it, but I have to use scissors). They have no smell until opened, and even then it's like slightly skunky candy, certainly not enough to make a car stink.

I missed the post but I think Iβm going to differ from the rest in that, while Iβve never had edibles in my car, I am sensitive enough to, and sufficiently revolted by, the smell of weed that I think if I had them in the car for more than a few minutes I might be able to smell my homemade ones, but that Iβm sure I wouldnβt smell purchased ones, which Iβve never detected a scent from. But honestly if I smelled it I would normally assume someone smokes in there.

I am so used to the smell of marijuana that I hardly notice it. There are quite a few people around me who smoke pot. Moreover, I rented a room from a man who seemed to smoke weed 24 hours a day. I'll be honest, I smoke marijuana sometimes, too.
