I impulse-bought some stick-on wallpaper -- we have these two giant bookcases that we've stuck in the bedroom for a lack of a better idea what to do with them. I was hoping to wallpaper the backs of them.
Any tips? It's self-adhesive so I think it's mostly about lining it up and laying it flat. I think there's some smoothing/edging tool maybe you're supposed to get?

You can do it without a specific tool as long as you have something that can help push the air out as you smooth it. I honestly just used the extra roll of the wallpaper I had (I did the shelves in my wardrobe).
We used a squeegee to get air out and a box cutter to cut the paper. It was pretty simple. The biggest issues were lining up the print so they match and not allowing the paper to stick to itself. Good luck! I love that paper and really want it in my powder room!

As a caution, some of the reviews said it didn't stick very well. I figured it should still be okay for the back of my bookshelf because once the shelves go back in they will pin it in place every foot or so!
I used an exacto knife and a smoothing tool I got off of Amazon. I didn’t find it too terribly difficult, but it was harder than I thought to match the pattern.
