Fri - did 8.8 miles on the recumbent bike (first time since Feb 2020!) Sat - swam 100 laps, walked 1.5 mi, played an hour and a half game of badminton with my neighbor (so random, but it was great) Sun - ran 8 mi
Friday-weights with a HIIT finisher Saturday- 3 mile nature hike with DH Sunday-16 mile skate with friends
QOTW- I am so bad about this. I prefer to have an empty stomach for all but the most intense endurance workouts, and then I usually just wait until I'm hungry to eat, which can be a few hours later. For a race or any other really intense workout, i like to refuel with pizza or pancakes or some other carby goodness plus some protein. This morning i had cupcakes because we were celebrating a birthday, but i normally wouldnt have needed anything after a 16 mile skate.

Fri: 2.5 mile walk Sat: 5 mile run Sun: 8 mile run
QOTW: all year long I like Mac and cheese, spaghetti, pizza. Sometimes I switch it up and have a fried egg sandwich. If I’m marathon training over the summer, I love a good milkshake or ice cream cone!
minzy seriously, how do you swim 100 laps and not die? Unless it's in a kiddie pool, that sounds like an insane amount and i am in awe of you. Swimming is tough!
sadlebred congrats on all your weekend race achievements! That is awesome! I miss racing so much. There is nothing like giving it your all and then being on that podium when it's over. I am so sad that the one race i was hoping for this year doesnt look like it's happening.
Fri- Walk with my client at work Saturday- 6 mile walk with a friend Sunday -1 mile walk with my Mom. She was in a lot of pain today from her hip surgery, and my foot was swelling back up, so we didn't go far.
For some reason I love chocolate milk and french toast as recovery foods.

100 laps is about 1.4 miles if my math is right... I’m sure many people could swim laps around me but I just take it one stroke at a time, I guess! Meanwhile, all your skating sounds next to impossible to me, haha!
Fri - Peloton ride and a little bit of strength Sat - 10 miles* Sun - rest *supposed to be 16 but figured I wouldn’t push the hamstring too hard right away.
Favorite spring/summer post-run snack is a smoothie bowl. I dream of these in my last miles of a run. Granola, walnuts, shredded coconut, chia seeds, and fruit. 🤤 Or a beer. 🤷🏻♀️

I graded all throughout the weekend. Hours on end. My workout was walking across the quad for graduation lol. I just turned in my grades so better days are ahead!
I will eat anything I can get my hands on but in general I like salty things much better than sweet things.
