May goals: Maybe streak? Try to eat a salad every day (preferably the base of which comes from my own plants, as we are swimming in romaine and arugula right now). Drop five pounds so everything else is a tiny bit easier (the salads may help). Lift already.
April started off well! I got 137 running miles in, 11 Peloton rides, and 8 strength classes. I know I sound like a broken record, but the hamstring issue really put a damper on my running toward the end of the month.
May goals: stay healthy! My goals are to be able to run all month, get in 8 strength classes (in addition to core work), and to add at least one yoga session each week.
I was averaging 2 runs/week in April. We listed our house for sale, which was a pretty monumental effort to prep for, and I got my 2nd covid shot which knocked the wind out of me for a few days. Any consistency at all is a win!
May will be closing on the new house, so continuing with the "extra-curricular" busyness. There's always a reason to be inconsistent though, and I'm trying to be disciplined about not letting that get me too off track. I want to set 2 as a min, with a goal of 3x/week.
I also want to successfully donate blood. After 36 successful donations, I've tried twice and failed twice for #37. My iron count hasn't gotten above 12.1, and 12.5 is the magic number. I added multivitamins to this month's Amazon subscribe & save delivery, and will try again in a few weeks. I have O+, CMV-, and now covid-antibody+ blood, but I need to pass to be able to give it away!
