The more I talked about this with H, the more it turned out that what he wants is a vacation home. I do *not* want a vacation home, but we're talking thru that now.

This is on the calendar for my next call with my financial planner. H may switch to the HDHP next year but we need to review our health costs first.

Well, we bought a place and LOVE it. Even before covid, we were there almost every weekend. Now with covid, it's been such a blessing to be able to "get away" every weekend. We're fortunate that the things we like to do there (hike and ski) are pandemic-friendly activities. We still take 1-2 trips elsewhere annually. We are fortunate that our income has continued to grow and allow us to do so. No one regrets the decision (DH, kids, or myself).

I asked at what amount to stop 529 contributions. We just redirected that money now that it’s at 75k and will see how it grows on its own. College is 10+ years out for my kids.
