I’m in the 2ww after a weirdly early ovulation this month. I continue to be in the unsure if we should just stop trying place.
It’s super hot here this weekend, but we were able to get out for a great anniversary dinner at our favorite restaurant. Our first real dinner out since the pandemic, which was so great!
Hi everyone, looks like I'll be here again for a short bit. After trying for years and years (been married since 2003) we were finally able to afford ivf on a last ditch effort in 2019. We have 1 embryo left and we're going to try a frozen cycle. They say theres only a 20% chance of it working but obviously hopeful somehow this one makes it. Wishing everyone else a short stay as well.
barney96- good luck with the transfer! Do you have a tentative date?
We have our FET on Friday, so I started PIO yesterday and I am SO TIRED. We are transferring one, we’ll have one left. We had our miscarriage back in March and a hysteroscopy to clean out some tissue last month.

Our consult to talk about doing a FET is tomorrow morning. I'm anxious and excited; I know there is some testing that will likely need to be redone, but I'm hoping to transfer late summer/early fall. Although, if it works out to be sooner than that, I'd be ok with that!

Dw's appointment with Derbala was 2 weeks ago, and we have just shy of 3 weeks to go until the follow-up. So. Much. Waiting. So far bloodwork results available in Quest very, very slightly elevated clotting things.
Just got the med cocktail and it isnt as bad as I was expecting. Will either start this month or August (vacation early august means next month start is out)

I am probably going to have another hysteroscopy and then transfer my remaining 3 embryo's but it looks like that won't be until July/August. DH and I have an out of town wedding and I need to travel for work so I don't want to be stressing out.

I don't go here anymore, but I wanted to say we used to have someone on this board who got pregnant with her 1 remaining frozen embryo a few years ago. So it can happen! Crossing my fingers for you!

Got my appointment scheduled with Dr kwak-kim for beginning of November. In the meantime I am working on scheduling an appointment with me re because I think I need another lap I have been in a lot of pain lately and I think it is from my Endo. I will likely also have them pre&emtively run as many tests as possible from kwak-kim list to send to them, and ask about a karotyoing because somehow we have never had this. But I have done a carrier screening and we have done pgs on a few me ryos before so do I still need it?

I also see Dr. Kwak Kim! I'm happy to answer any questions if it's helpful. I am 90% sure she will re-run everything at the consult even if you do it before hand. Things that you could ask to run would be the Pai1 genotype (clotting risk) and full thyroid panel. She uses her own lab for the natural killer cells and inflammation and also runs labs for many anti-phospholipid types - more than than the standard OB does. If you could get in for a lap with a good surgeon (do you know about Nancy's Nook?) it would probably be a good use of your time before November!

Ugh I was hoping she would order some or give me the orders so I can get some basic ones she wants done that my insurance will pay (assuming she wants any of those that any lab can run). I have heard of Nancy's nook unfortunately because of my insurance and being attached to a large military base they get first right of refusal on my care until I can switch to the other I Durance option where I can go where I want as long as they are in network.

How long was your first appointment?
You could certainly call and ask if you could have some of the tests done through your own insurance before hand. Also, they will send labs to quest or labcorp if needed. Usually those are in network at least. Their lab is in network for me but basic labs are cheaper through quest. Her immune labs are only through her own lab unfortunately.
The first appointment was most of the morning. We went out for lunch before driving the hour back home. I had the ultrasound- pelvic and thyroid. Weird that they didn’t let my husband come in the ultrasound room, but fine. Labs. Very thorough history with the np and then met with dr Kwak Kim for maybe 20-30 min? She went through the results we had then - history and ultrasound, and then I had a follow up a month or so later when she reviewed all the blood work. I’m only an hour away, so I went in person, but she usually does those follow ups virtually.
2ww and if it doesn’t work, I’m already scheduled for a laminaria insertion followed by an HSG for next steps.
My 2ww was a bust; AF came yesterday. And to add, my period was super late. My usual 31 day cycle (with 84% accuracy) decided to make itself a 40 day cycle, so it was a huge tease. Such a waste of pregnancy tests! And now this only delays treatment. So frustrating.

Thanks.i have been hearing it is an all morning thing. Yeh other than the immune ones she runs I am going to ask her to send the lab slips to LabCorp. My insurance should.pay there not sure they will at rfu. I should check.
I have a pre consult.phone about a week.before my.in person then my results is also by phone a few weeks later they set it all up at once for me.
Stopped my meds yesterday, beta only went up 3 pts. We are going to take a few months off before our last FET. I hope some posters see success during that time, I’ll probably step away for a bit.
I had my HSG yesterday, everything looked good. My bloodwork looks good too. I'm going for a saline sono on Friday; we're on track to do a FET in September!
I have a dilation with Laminaria tomorrow for an HSG on Friday. We had previously tried the HSG but he couldn’t get through the cervix due to Stenosis. So now we’re trying dilation for 24 hours. Im terrified of the pain. The repeated attempts and stabs to my cervix at the first HSG before was so painful.
Someone reassure me or give me pets. I do have a Rx for Valium to take before each appointment. I plan to ask for pain meds when I get there.
*I guess this would qualify for July Check in but there’s no thread yet.
