Friday-heavy lifting day. Last of this cycle, and I rocked it with some nice PRs!
Saturday-15 mile solo skate at 14 mph avg pace. I havemt skated solo in a while, and i forgot how much i enjoy it.
Sunday-heat induced rest day. Was supposed to do a longer training skate with a friend who is preparing for a marathon next weekend, but it was 80 degrees at 5 a.m., so we bailed. Current temp:110. Eek!
BQ: I drink some type of Nuun or other hydration multiplier before and after skating, and am more mindful of my water consumption during to ensure i dont run out. I drink a ton of water throughout the day afterwards to replenish. I dont do anything special when lifting in the heat (my home gym is outside), i just drink more water during.

Fir: rest day Sat: 7 mile tempo run + 2 mile walk + some pool time Sun: 3.5 mile run with hills
BQ: I don’t do much different. I take frozen water with me, and I try to run laps by my car so I can take some Gatorade chews on my runs beyond 8 miles. Oh! And I make it a point to drive to the shady trail. But then when I get home, I drink a bunch of Gatorade and eat ice cream 🤣
Fri - did 10.6 mi on the gym bike, lifted - 8 machines x2 Sat - ran 3 mi with DD1 Sun - ran 4 mi, 1 hr yardwork, family walk 3.75 mi BQ: I just try to hydrate and not work out outside when it’s super hot if I can help it.
Friday - ran 5 Sat - 1 hour trainer ride Sun - open water swam ~3/4 mile. skipped my "long" run (step back week, so it was only an hour) too much shit going on. Only workout I missed this week though, so...compared to my usual MO that's not bad at all.
I probably ought to think through more if my nutrition plan for hot weather should be tailored in some way...
Friday: yoga/fascial release Saturday: half marathon! It went so much better than I expected. Cooler temps (70 instead of the usual 85) helped so much. It's one of my favorites, an "unofficial" road race done by a local running club. Sunday: walked 8 miles volunteering.
BQ: I take SaltStick pills during or after a long run, prevents me from getting stomach cramps. Otherwise just consciously hydrating before/after.

Fri. walked 9k Sat & Sun only gardened. It is so hot and I had to choose between spending the cooler hours on gardening or exercising. My yard looks pretty great though. Mon: short but incredibly steep 6k hike
BQ: I take more water and a snack that has some salt. Overall I eat more salads.
