It's been 7 years since our last move, and my memory is fuzzy.
We're having a 2 day pack, but we might not need the 2nd day at all, and if we do need the 2nd day, it'll likely just be in the morning. Questions for this...I ordered a sandwich platter to have for them on day 1. I don't need to plan a lunch for them on day 2, right? If there are leftovers and they are packing some the morning of day 2, can I offer them the leftovers to take with them? And I only tip when they are done with packing, right? Not at the end of day 1 and again at the end of day 2 (assuming they go to day 2)?
A different crew is loading the moving truck, driving the 4 miles to our new house, and unloading the moving truck on day 3. The moving estimate is for 5 guys, 2 trucks, 8 hours. So I feed them lunch too, right?
And I was planning to tip each crew $100 total, does that sound right or am I way off?
I've had movers paid for by my company three different times. I did not tip or feed the crews either time. I did supply cold Gatorade for everyone on the loading day, but that was it. Another #nothelpful.
ETA: DH just reminded me that we got pizza for the crew a couple of times. I forgot. I guess I'm slightly nicer than I remembered. 🙂

We are moving in a few weeks and though I will definitely tip each mover, the thought never even crossed my mind to feed them?!? Is that a thing?!? If I had family/friends helping I would obviously feed them, but this is a company hired to do a job and I wouldn’t feed any other company that came to do a job at my house (landscapers, etc.). I will have water and Gatorade on hand. Am I missing some sort of moving company etiquette here? If it is a thing, glad I know now so I can plan ahead!!!

I had a case of water in the fridge for them, but gatorade is a good idea too and easy enough to grab.
When we did our 1st big move (we were military) we were told by others who had done many before us that the military paid for the move (unless you opted to do it yourself), but you were expected to tip and feed them. So that's what we did and figured we should continue to do (this is not a military move).
But I really don't remember the amount of a normal tip. Do those who have tipped think $100 is a decent amount? $20 per guy?
My last move there was no packing involved. We had 3 guys who worked their asses off and moved our entire house and then unloaded it in around 4 hours. We had pizza, water, and Gatorade waiting at the new house and tipped them $50 each.

My last move, we tipped the two guys $100 each (it was -30 and snowing and they were the most pleasant movers we ever had), fed them, got them moved out of the local sketchy motel to a B&B (it was a three day job and we were hundreds of miles from their main location) and also gave them half a freezer of frozen fish. It was super Alaskan.
Two moves ago, we tipped the guys maybe $20 each and provided food (we weren’t close to any food or grocery stores and they hadn’t brought food). I hadn’t planned on feeding them, but they hadn’t brought food . They also broke a lot of household goods. I’m still salty about that entire experience.
Different country so totally useless information but still... We just moved over a full day (no packing) and I tipped each mover (3) $100 plus one of them took some furniture that we found when we moved in that we didn't want. That felt like a favour to us though! They were wonderful.
We didn't feed them as covid. And we live in a city so they just took themselves to McDonald's for a bit in the middle of the day. We should have thought to have drinks though, that's a really nice idea.
