HVAC Maintenance Plans?

Anyone have any thoughts about maintenance plans for HVAC systems (e.g. involves tune-up, x amount of coolant, priority scheduling for issues, etc.).  I hate the idea of a recurring monthly charge, but it does seem to add up to a little less than we would pay for a yearly tune-up, and we have two separate heating and a/c systems to deal with.  I haven't seen the contract yet, just got a quote for the price.

We do it. I like it because then it stays on my radar to have it serviced!

We have one. We pay an annual fee that I think is pretty minimal. It helps with the annual maintenance since they get in touch with us to set it up.

We pay ours once a year. In addition to the services you mentioned, many offer a small discount on parts and repairs when needed.

If you plan to sell, having service contract records is a desirable thing.
