Weekend highs/lows?

What were the Highlights? Lowlights?

Highlight: We went to Newport Beach yesterday and ate, rode a surrey, and hung out at the beach.

Lowlight: J blew up at me last night because the baby was crying and she wanted to sleep.

Highlight: the weather was beautiful yesterday. Perfect fall weather. We had a great weekend of fun stuff (Rennesaince Fair, soccer, playdates, and playground)

Lowlight: the kids incessant wrestling. It is in good fun and they are both having fun - but not conducive when you are trying to get people dressed and out the door (because evidently when you wrestle, you lose all ability to hear.) I may have lost my patience over this a few times.

High -Pandora turned two! I can't believe it! She is such a joy.

Low -We took a new placement. When the SW was on her way out she mentioned the baby had refused all fluids /food for the entire day. We tried everything including a dropper to feed her but we couldn't get enough into her. DW sat in the ER for 11 hours until they admitted her. I don't know when they are
releasing her but I am livid that they placed her with us when she was obviously ill. I can't do this
anymore.

Duchess - that is crazy. I am sorry.

Highlight: I finished my 5k! We did intervals (3 min run/2 min walk) the whole time, and I ran for just under 30 of the 47:42 it took me to officially finish. So a slowish time, but I did it! My goal at this point was to run more than half of it so I definitely reached that, which is awesome.

Lowlight: I don't know, actually. I had a pretty damn good weekend. Maybe that my wife had to work yesterday? But I had a really good day with my baby, so it was still a good day. My legs were sore Saturday and yesterday, but they've loosened up a lot and feel pretty good now.

highlight - spending 15 minutes with Jelly Bean at a local kids amusement park. We went on two quick rides and then left (just trying to use up our tickets prior to the end of the season) but it was fun watching her joy.

lowlight - K is sick which means she has less patience than normal and JB was in rare form. A sick K + a patience pushing JB =/= fun

Highlight: grilled triple berry muffin - oh my god so yum.

Lowlight: Henry was MISERABLE Saturday AM.

Nothing really stands out as a highlight. I worked and slept most of the weekend. i guess my highlight would be that after my dog ran off ( part of my low point) she came back to me after 20 minutes being lost in the woods. I was so happy to see her bounding through the trees to me.

Lowlight- Annie is sick. She has an awful cough. Seems to also be making her naughty. She opened the front door and let both dogs out. We live next to 250+ acres of woods full of bear. I was not feeling up to searching the woods for Marley on no sleep.

Highlight - date day with Trav on Friday, fun visit with friends yesterday.

Lowlight - Ugh, another nursemaid's elbow... so off to the ER we went.

Highlight - I got to snuggle my brand new nephew (my first!!) on Friday.

Lowlight - N is cutting 4 teeth and is unbelievably uncomfortable. He screams.. oh he screams.

Highlight: Walk from Obesity with friends on Saturday morning. Beautiful weather and good behavior from the kids all weekend.

Lowlight: Lots of bickering with DW.

High: DW and I made a yummy dinner of pasta carbonara and drank Austi to celebrate her promotion.
Low: Hm...overall it was pretty good. I was not feeling so great on Sunday and DW dragged me to a birthday part I didn't. Want to go to, but in the end it turned out to be fine. And i kind of owed her so I can't complain too much.

Highlight: We paid off a credit card, and I helped transport a dog to its furrever home.

Lowlight: bickering with DW

Highlight: I got to see A at the end of two of her long working on the weekend days and made her breakfast (at her place) Saturday morning.

Lowlight: Hmm...I can't think of anything particularly bad. I guess I didn't do as many chores at home as I should have.

Highlight - We went on an architecture tour, which was great on its own, but downtown Chicago was in rare form as well - we saw an Occupy demonstration, performance artists, a public art installation, and some other funny stuff all in two hours. The weather was beautiful too.

Lowlight - had another back pain flare up over the weekend, but it was better by yesterday evening with lots of rest and ibuprofen.

Highlight: Playing with the kids and making them laugh - that never gets old. Lots of snuggling too - I can't believe how big they're getting already.

Lowlight: Nobody slept much Friday night - up, down, crying at all hours. It was all very six weeks ago. But they are back on the right track now.
