Hi all, hoping someone more in tune with younger kids can help me find a gift for a 5 year old girl. I was hoping to get something more creative than just picking a random thing from target or amazon. Is there anything more unique/ creative you can think of in the $50-$75 range? thanks for any ideas you can give!
My 5 year old DD loves her VTech digital camera. It's got games on it and she can take pictures and videos. We do limit use and consider it screen time though. Also had to have a talk about taking appropriate pictures lol.
Other things she loves:
Puzzles Memory card games Her art easel Marbleworks
She's so big into jewellery and really loves this initial necklace H got her for her birthday. You can find a bunch on Etsy.
Follow up question- has anyone down Raddish? Looking at maybe getting her a subscription for a couple months
A friend has been raving about it on FB for maybe the last year? Her son really took to it, but he’s a little older. He basically prepares their dinner once a month completely on his own! They’ve been very pleased.
My 5-year-old daughter loves Science, so what my dad did for her birthday was get her a science experimenting book (Smithsonian/Steve Spangler 10 minute experiments) and a set of plastic test tubes/flasks). It’s open-ended, which is great, as opposed to a lot of some sort. My daughter also loves anything for her bike.
This is hard not knowing anything about the child (or parents). Kids that age are often into something in particular that they just love.
My youngest daughter is 6. She loves Barbies amazingly much. She would be thrilled with some kind of Barbie set. My girls also love American Girl. If she has a doll, you could get cool stuff for it, or you could get a Wellie Wisher.
Cool Playmobil or Lego set if she likes tiny pieces.
Calico Critter if she likes cute tiny things and animals.
Scooter or bike is out of range but maybe a slip and slide if they have a big yard.
Usborne sticker books are very fun.
My daughter got a stuffed unicorn from Amazon that you unzip to find tiny babies inside, and that has been a hit.
Fit bit fir kids
I also think 5 year olds are still more impressed by volume than one nice item. I might add some candy or a book or markers or something fun, too.
