Friday: Off Saturday: 34 mile gravel ride Sunday: 40 mile road ride (beat the rain!)
BQ: That's a hard one. I'd have to say my light weight Hincapie sleeveless jerseys. They are so much cooler than any other cycling tops I own. Disclaimer: my team is sponsored by the cycling wear company, but I purchases these a few years ago.
Guys. You are going to have to kick me off the board. I've done absolutely nothing but rest since i got home on Wednesday night. I've taken a month completely off from dieting and mostly off from hard workouts. It's been so good for my mental health, but I'm feeling a bit fluffy. DH seems to like me this way (if you get my drift) and I dont mind it either, but it's not consistent with my health and fitness goals, so back at it i go tomorrow.
BQ-i love UnderArmour Heat Gear tanks, my Senita compression tanks with side pockets, Baleaf lined running shorts, Rockay blister-proof running socks, my Camelback (for skating), and my "magic" cooling towel. Needed: a holy grail cross training shoe.
Fri - yoga, gingerly Sat - swam 100 laps, pulling only Sun - 7 mi on the gym bike, slowly I’m really taking it easy because my knee doesn’t feel right. At least it doesn’t seem to be getting worse, so that’s something.
BQ: I guess my recent favorite item is a pair of Merrell Vibram hiking shoes, the rainbow ones you might have seen in a Facebook ad. That’s where I first saw them, anyway. They fit great right away, no issues with blisters or anything like that when I was breaking them in, and I think they’re cute. I showed them to my twin and she had, unbeknownst to me, already bought the same ones.
melmel48,I'm sorry for your loss. May their memory be a blessing to all who knew them. I'm on my phone and having trouble finding a better link, but it's actually the UA Victory tank: www.underarmour.com/en-us/p/tops/womens-ua-victory-tank/1283939.html. I have them in almost every color. They hold up really well and are about the only top i can stand to workout in in the ungodly Southern AZ summer heat.
Friday - short run. I pulled an all nighter thursday night for a work deadline, took a break for a run, then jumped right back into work. it was a DAY. Saturday & Sunday - camping with our cub scout pack. So...so light hiking. And sleeping. I went to bed at kid bedtime because see above.
That is not AT ALL how that weekend was supposed to go, but, it is what it is.
I do rather love my sunsleeves. I hate most sunscreen deeply.

I took a few days off over the week leading up to and after the 4th. I was traveling for work a couple of the days, and then at the cabin I did a Peloton Cardio HIIT workout and it destroyed my quads. I couldn't walk normally or down the stairs. I was starting to think I did some serious damage. I have no clue what I did, because none of the moves were entirely new. I may have been dehydrated or something. Anyway, onward!
Fri: 2 min run + strength Sat: 60 min Peloton cycle Sun: 18 mile outdoor bike
BQ: Both my favorites are not specific to summer since I wear them indoors year round.
I have to wear a headband when I workout. My head sweats so much. I wear these
And these are my favorite lightweight tanks (Gap Fit Breathe Racerback if the link doesn't work)
