For me it depends on how they are seasoned. I'm not a fan of crinkle cut (unless they are SUPER crispy and seasoned), and wouldn't eat the smileys. I often pick sweet potato over regular. But I do love some home fries and some good old fashioned shoe strings.
Standard, steak fries, sweet potato or home fries...curly or crinkle if those are the only choice and I really want fries, but I might grumble.
This sounds dumb, but so many times fries are undercooked and underseasoned, so my main requirements are that they are fully cooked, crispy, and seasoned.

Love waffle fries but only chick fil a. Have tried others and never like them.
Standard and steak are my favorite with lots of vinegar, salt and ketchup.
I want to like sweet potato fries but I can’t. Also don’t like curly fries or tator tots.
And I feel like with French fries, I’m either going to love them or I don’t want them. They have to be hot and good. So I’m either eating all of them or they aren’t good and I pass. Also love McDonalds fries if they are hot

Standard and tots Are my go to. Crinkle are great too. I’d really eat any of them! Now I want fries. Or tots. Any of those pictured would make me happy right now
Waffle w/seasoned sour cream. 100% no contest for me.
Seasoned sour cream? What is this witchcraft? I need details!
At least here in MN, it’s sour cream mixed with some kind of seasoned salt concoction. It’s so addicting! Most sit-down restaurants that serve waffle fries have it as a sauce option.
DS used to love Smiley fries! Glad we moved past that phase, although I bet now that we cook all the fries in the air fryer they would probably taste a lot better.
Are the smiley fries regional? I have never seen these.
I like steak fries, but not the ones pictured. I would call those more potato wedges. I like the flatter kind of steak fries.
Fresh McDonald's fries that we well-salted are probably a win for me. Especially the fries that are on the squishy side. My H is team cruncy McD fries, so we're a good pair.
Because of this post, we had homemade fries with dinner last night.
I had no plans for dinner, before reading this, and after reading it, all I could think of were fries. Good thing we had potatoes...and something to have as a main dish with the fries. lol
