I just started a Pura Vida bracelet subscription for my 16yo DD. Does she have Airpods? Otherwise DD likes Lululemon, Birkenstocks (the rubber Arizona ones) and stuff from Lush has been a hit in the past. She also got an aromatherapy diffuser for Xmas that she likes.
What does she like? At that age I would’ve really liked something popular/fashionable and name-brand since I didn’t have anything, but hopefully she’s more on the ball than I was at her age, lol.
Or: $100 gift card to favorite store
Send her flowers or fancy chocolates and then mail a check or Venmo her parents the rest to spend as she wishes
$100 cash/gift card to take a few friends out for pizza (this is what my mom did for my 16th birthday and I felt like such a big shot, lol), or choose one friend or a date to take to a nicer dinner

I let my 16 & 17 year old goddaughters pick a subscription box out of a list I gave them as a combo bday / Christmas gift. It was more than I normally spend for the year but they LOVE getting a surprise every month and I had no other ideas for them. One picked PuraVida bracelets and the other picked a high quality art supply one. I think the pura vida one is a great value compared to buying them individually although you could do a gift card for Pura Vida or a shop that carries it (we have a kitschy local store called Urban Girl that sells them and other cool stuff).
A few years ago when I needed a gift for a close family friend and my flower girl’s 16th bdays I gave them real jewelry of mine I don’t ever wear anymore. One was a pink sapphire and diamond necklace and the other was a silver Tiffany charm bracelet (I replaced the engraving tag with one with her initials).

Ohh what’s the art one? She does love art.
Paletteful Packs. You can do 3 or 6 months, too. There are lots of other art ones that are cheaper or more Project based I sent her options of, but she wanted this one because it lets her try new products that real artists use.
Is she going to get her drivers license? If yes maybe something related to driving or car related. Gas card and a gift card to her favorite fast food place?
