We are hosting an Olympics party this weekend and I need help coming up with events! Kids are 4 to 9 years. We have a pool and a basketball court. Any ideas of events they can do?

We are having one Friday! We are doing a water balloon toss, hurdles (pool noodles taped to broom handles from the dollar store) and an Olympic torch relay.
I’m having one Friday, too. Yes, I know the Olympics are very problematic etc x1000. Anyway!
Opening ceremonies with flags and torch (they’ll traipse around my yard) to the Olympic theme song. Egg and spoon race with plastic egg (sorry not sorry). Sack race. Obstacle course. Long jump on the driveway where we can record distance with chalk. Tattoo of Olympic Rings station and a spot with a backdrop to take selfies. Art station with these little tubes and paint to make Olympic ring art. Bubbles. Tons of food including sushi, because Japan. American flag shots. Favors are medals, little flags and candy - I did Dove caramels (gold), York peppermint patties (silver), and Rolos (bronze). I’ve essentially invited the whole neighborhood and prep has been immense but I’m feeling in a decent spot two days out. I got a text about masking today so will suggest everyone do that even though this will be very much outside. Thankfully the weather here looks perfect and Friday we’ll have a full moon.
Taking playlist suggestions, we’re still working on that... my current list is: Let’s get it started in here - Black Eyed Peas I got a feeling (tonight’s gonna be a good night) - Black Eyed Peas Roar - Katy Perry Eye of the tiger - Survivor My hero - Foo Fighters High hopes - Panic at the disco Bang - AJR Girl on fire - Alicia Keys Go big or go home - American authors Reach - Gloria Estefan The final countdown - Europe Firework - Katy Perry Hall of Fame - The Script Brave - Sara Bareilles We are the champions - Queen Fearless - GooGoo Dolls
Actual Olympic events: Speed walking Baton relay synchronized team dance Volleyball Golf putting Badminton Tug of war
We did a lot of relay races at family parties when I was a kid and now we have an annual family field day where the adults play the same games. A lot of them are on this list: www.verywellfamily.com/relay-races-for-kids-1257402
