Friday: Off Saturday: 35 mile gravel road ride Sunday: 2 hour mtb ride. The trail was unexpectedly very muddy. I didn't know they got some surprise rain yesterday afternoon. Their website said the trails were open, so I went. After I finished the muddy trail I did some laps around one of the beginner trails that was to muddy and worked on my technical skills with some of the man made obstacles on it.
BQ: Be easy on yourself. No one is perfect. Your journey will not be perfect. There will be the one day you eat the whole pint of Ben & Jerrys, and that's ok! Also things don't happen quickly. Patience. My biggest: Everything in moderation.
Friday- off Saturday- 5k that went horribly wrong Sunday- had intentions to go for a run... but it didn't happen
BQ- There will be people who will cheer for everyone no matter how they do. There will be people who suck and will wish for you to fail. There are more who cheer for everyone. I have also learned that just because someone makes something look easy; it doesn't mean it comes easy for them. We all work hard!
Friday: unintentional rest - my day went hard sideways. I guess I technically rode a bike for about 10 minutes... Saturday: 30 mile ride, 15 minute brick run Sunday: my longest open water swim ever! a little over 1.5 miles with some new folks I met who invited me to join their sunday morning swim group.
Bonus Question: I've learned that starting over is 1495879638679587934872947x easier than starting from scratch. As many times as I've been like, "oh god I haven't done anything in so long, it's going to be so hard to get rolling again" nothing has ever been even close to as difficult as that first time through the C25k program, or the first time I rode a bike for more than 5 miles as an adult or the first time trying to swim laps AT ALL.
