I haven't and wouldn't, but I don't feel the need to jumpstart anything/mental toughness. It looks like a good program if you want to start new habits and make them stick.

No. I see women doing this in my Peloton weights group and it's by far one of the silliest things I've ever seen quite frankly.
The guy who made this thing up has few if no credentials and is trying to sell "a product."
But the product really doesn't build to anything of substance.
I actually work in performance psychology and have an educational background in it. I listened to a podcast recently with the performance coach who worked with the Bulls during the time of Michael Jordan.
Something he said is that it's about not what you know but knowing what to do with it. And this program is a classic example of having zero clue of knowing what to do with what it's doing.
Asking ANY questions about the program and its why's..🤷♀️
It's not very good.
So. No. I wouldn't do it and don't recommend it as a way to build "mental toughness"
ETA I also want to add that I don’t have a history of disordered eating and realize this could be a trigger. Im Sorry I didn’t think about that ahead of time**
Yeah…I knew it’s not well received by all. It’s been a terrible year for me though (like so many, I know.)
my baseline though is that I have done RP, and also a (easier to handle compared to RP) nutrition program through my gym. I’m pretty well versed in Macros and know my appropriate calorie count. I’m used to meal prepping and using MFP to track. I lift. I also do scans for my body fat percentage rather than depend on scales or BMI. I’m also historically pretty good with mental toughness and grit as I was an ultra runner before my life changed.
I was divorced this year and am having a hard time transitioning into raising 3 kids alone while working. I was just down. Yes I’m in therapy, yes I self reflect and I have meds. I just needed something different.
So I’ve had tools, I have the education, I have also been a psychologist for 16 years. I just didn’t have the discipline at this time. I gave myself a lot of grace over the last 9 months of living alone and raising these kids without help from my now ex husband.
I knew a common criticism was that the founder is not an expert in anything, but he’s not really giving me specific advice either. To me, he just set these guidelines. I mean you take it for what you want, if you want to buy his book and buy the app and subscribe to the podcast sure. But I’m just following the guidelines.
Honestly….it’s been just what I needed. I’m down 8 lbs and my head is clearer. I’m not crying everyday like I was.
It’s not for everyone and I’m certainly not advertising that others do it, but I think for me it was what I needed. I’m more than 2 weeks in now.. This is going to take me till about October which is great bc I can switch into the back to school routines/sports practices in a better mindset.
foundmylazybum let me know if you have any good self help books to recommend! I’m almost done my 2nd one.
