Has anyone used corner gripper thingies on area rugs on hardwood floors?
If so, did it work? And did it damage the hardwood floors?
We have 2 large area rugs that are new, and both have 1 corner that is turned up at the corner after unrolling them. I left something heavy on that corner for a week, and it hasn't helped. And then we have a small 3x5 rug in front of our french door to the back yard, and it lays flat, but it moves around constantly. So I ordered rug corner grippers hoping to help with both of those issues without doing much research/thinking, and they came, and there's a warning on the box to check with floor manufacturer to make sure they won't damage floors. They are gorilla brand, and I know gorilla glue is insanely strong/permanent, so now I'm 2nd guessing myself! I haven't applied them yet, so now I'm thinking maybe I should return.
I'm guessing a rug pad might help the small rug not move all over the place, but any other ideas for the rugs with the corner that rolls up?
No advice, but interested in the responses you get. In my home office, I have a small area rug over a grippy rug pad. The pad never moves, but the rug moves OVER the pad and ends up partially obstructing my HVAC vent. Drives me nuts. I wonder if the corner things could help secure my rug to the pad.
I used the same ones k3am suggested and they’re great. We just moved out of our house earlier this week and there was no damage at all to the hardwood when we pulled them up.

Glad to hear it. I ordered them and they arrived, but I've yet to actually try them because I'm still nervous.
