I just wanted to tag back in with an update for anyone who was in the same boat on my earlier post about Computershare. I transferred my book shares from that awful Computershare to Fidelity. The process was very easy. I initiated from the Fidelity side vs. Computershare. They just ask you to confirm your account #, the CUSIP, and upload a statement. It then takes about a week for the move. You can set up a new brokerage or add the funds into an existing one. I moved a small amount of shares first just as a test and it went so smooth I initiated the rest today.
I still have some uncertainty about if I'll get tax forms from both brokerages in 2021 (I assume so) and if I'll still have access to my Computershare account for what little cost basis information is in there, but I'm willing to cross those bridges when I come to them. Here's to hoping 2022 will be streamlined!

Cappy, glad to hear how easy it was! And thanks for the tag, ohgillian.
I have things moving on this, too. Mom has a brokerage account, holding her main investment account. If all goes according to plan, she should have the paperwork to move four accounts - three from ComputerShare and EQShareholders - into the main account waiting at her account. We'll go through them tomorrow and I'll hopefully get them back in the mail by afternoon.
I'm still holding my breath, but so far, all they needed was the statement, as Cappy experienced.
