What colors are you considering painting the cabinets? That would make a difference in my answer.
We have a light/dark cabinet thing going on in our kitchen, but we we made it complicated by having two different cabinet colors and two different textures. It also isn't strictly upper/lower, because it worked better to have the tall cabinets and fridge on one end match the upper cabinets (all on the same wall), and the tall cabinet on the other side of the range hood on the other wall match the lowers. It looks more balanced.
What are floors? What color are walls and is the countertop solid white?
You can see a little bit of the floors. They are a mid-tone gray. The backsplash is going to cover any paint on the wall, but the paint for the room that leads into the kitchen is griege

Apparently my question wasn’t clear because I am asking for paint recommendations for the cabinets lol. I don’t have any colors picked out. All white? All grey of some sort? Mixed?

You could do absolutely anything. So what do you like?
In your case, with the white countertop, I would not do white lowers.
Personally, I would do navy lowers and white uppers. I love that look and think it could work well here. If you don’t love that look, a medium grey lower could work with a pale grey or white upper. Or you could do a dark teal lower as well if you want to lean in on your tile selection.

Your tile is beautiful and I would let that be the star. I'd do a light gray on the upper and lower. I think in a smaller kitchen it might feel like too much going on to have upper and lower cabinets different. Agree no white as a little contrast would be nice with countertops, but still keep it light and bright in there.
The wall oven has a continuation of the cabinets above the fridge?
When do you have to decide? If you can, I'd wait until you get the backsplash installed and see how it looks in your kitchen first. Then I'd put up poster board painted with the options your thinking of and see how they work with the new counters and backsplash especially if you go with a gray since they can look different as the light changes in a room.

I think a light gray would look nice in there to provide a contrast with the countertop and highlight the backsplash.
I forget the company’s name, but you can order any color made by BM or SW in a stick-on decal. You can put your choices in different parts of the kitchen to see what will work best.

I had a great experience with a SW color consult. I did mine when cases were high in my area, so it was virtual and they mailed samples after. That said if you go light grey SW Agreeable Grey would look good with that backsplash.

Okay, this inspired me to go find the name of the actual paint since it sounded so familiar. All of our common areas are Agreeable Grey 🤣 so we will need something slightly different. Maybe we can go lighter on the same scale.

I think a beige or taupe could look nice too. There appears to be a warmth in the green, so be careful going to cool. I also admit, I’m not a huge gray fan.
