Finished Our Whole Home Reno!

Just thought I'd share since this board provided me lots of advice over the last few years while we were planning this! We just moved back into our house after the renovation and it feels amazing. We relocated our kitchen, opened up the floorplan, relocated our back entrance, added a new screened porch in the back, added a two story addition with a family room and master suite, and did a full exterior remodel. I have plenty of complaints about the design-build firm we hired, but at the end of the day they got the work done in a little over 3 months and stayed relatively close to budget, so overall we're happy!

Congratulations on finishing so quickly! The place looks great and I love the new main floor layout. What did you wind up adding on the second floor? I remember you asking for advice several months ago.

We went for it and added a new master suite! So glad we did. Our old master bedroom was SO tiny. Now we have a 4br/3.5ba house and we can use the old master suite for guests. Here's the new floorplan and some pics (shower doors should arrive next week.) My daughter's room was the huge room that we stole space from to make a hallway to the addition, but it's still a really good size. The only thing we weren't able to do was move the laundry upstairs. It was too expensive and we didn't want to find a spot to squeeze it in. So our laundry is still down in our gross basement, but we'll work on making that area nicer now that everything else is done.
