Maybe with COVID taking center stage in our culture wars climate change will seem less political?
It's harder to feel hopeful under this blanket of smoke that $ can't fix (unlike many elements of climate change, which has allowed rich countries to think we'll be able to buy our way through the crisis). But, at least the report is good motivation for thinking of my next steps to fight.

I feel like there isn’t much more to say. Just disappointment that this is how it is now. And individuals can’t fix it… we need governments and huge corporations to do it now.

In the wild the other day I caught 10min of Fox news - all about how the infrastructure bills, even the last ARPA federal $, is “just the Green New Deal in disguise.” Mostly because it awards extra points for grant applicants who need infrastructure money for water and sewer projects… and those who have known lead pipes or contamination get extra points in scoring and those who are replacing aging or broken infrastructure due to adverse climate or storm conditions that they aren’t ready for get extra points.

Well, ARPA-E is all about energy, and certainly some of it is "green." I can see how Big Oil's disciples wouldn't like it.
Anyone who would be against replacing lead pipes (in principle) clearly has some sort of agenda...like racism.
