We scheduled a first time Disney trip in mid-October at New Orleans Riverside. These COVID numbers are crazy and I was wondering if others are looking to canceling their trips. Our family is fully vaxxed and I'm slowly regretting booking this thinking things would be ok.
Yeah I am canceling. I had tentatively booked Jersey Week (first week of November) and the week between Christmas and New Years using my Marriott points. I was researching changing to a different hotel for Jersey Week and then saw all the resurgence news. I won’t be going anymore in 2021.
I was on the fence about flying anyways since DS is very iffy about wearing his mask when instructed but was hoping he’d slowly mature over the next few months. It’s too far for us to drive just to vacation in Florida and my kids are too young for the vaccine.

Still on the fence. We're scheduled for the first week in November. DS is 10, so not vaxxed. I feel so bad though because this was our rescheduled trip from 2020. Ugh.
I had booked flights to visit my parents in FL for Christmas, and I can't get a refund, but I can move them, so I'll be doing that. I'm just waiting, as I don't have to do it just yet and a tiny party of me wants to wait for a miracle.
Still on the fence too for our Oct DLR trip. I can cancel the hotel but have paid for flights and tickets already- guessing I can use the tickets at another time.
We are still planning on our vaxxed adults only trip in late Sept / early Oct. We are driving and staying in a condo offsite so only exposure to other people will be at the parks. We are doing the Halloween stuff for the first time, but super leery of the giant crowds I've been seeing and long lines.
We have a DCL cruise planned for early Feb which has been delayed over a year for us which I think we will cancel.
DD and I are both vaxxed and keeping our mid-Sept DLR trip, DH (vaxxed) and I are still keeping our early Nov WDW trip, but unless there are major improvements in cases we'll be masked the entire trip.
I can’t believe I have to be worried about our March 2022 trip, but here I am.
Me too. I made reservations for 5 nights at WDW and 3 nights at Universal for the last week in March. I told my kids in mid-July that we were planning on going but it wasn't definite and things could always change. I am glad that I decided to wait until spring break and not mid-winter break in Feb. There is still time for things to change/hopefully have younger kids vaxxed.

We were supposed to do our first Disney cruise in 2020 and had postponed to Jan 22. I just cancelled. I had booked parks for late Aug expecting I may need to cancel the cruise, and just cancelled THAT (will see family instead) and rebooked for Feb. 22. Fingers crossed land is feasible in Feb if not cruising. I'm hopeful the pediatric vaccines will be out in time my kids will be double vaxxed by then.

We have a cruise booked for January 2022. I can't decide whether to cancel or reschedule. We booked it using a 25% off future cruise credit and a 10% onboard booking credit, and I don't know if we'll lose those if I outright cancel.
We are supposed to go to WDW with our 5 year old daughter over Labor Day and are almost definitely cancelling. I haven't pushed the cancel button because it makes me sad and financially it won't make any difference if I cancel today or the day before the trip.
I also have a Royal Caribbean cruise booked for October that I'm not even considering cancelling. I know the different cruise lines have different policies and rules (and I haven't looked at Disney's at all), but I think a cruise is going to be safer than going out to eat where I live. The vast majority of cruisers will be vaccinated, everyone will be tested right before boarding, masks required in most areas on the ship, etc. Definitely look into the COVID protocols for your specific ship before cancelling, it might be a safer option than you think.
I am not planning to cancel our late September trip.
projections have the peak either like, now or in the next week or so, so i'm hoping Florida follows the same trend as UK and India and the curve drops quickly.

We are in the same exact boat. Originally were supposed to go last November - and rescheduled for this November. I was excited about it earlier this summer, but now I'm starting to get nervous again. We'll have 2 under 12 at that point who very likely won't be able to get vaxxed yet. For now, we're still planning on going but I hate the doubt that is creeping in. I'm so tired of having to think about this!

i'm truly exhausted of decision-making and over analyzing everything.
DH and I are vaxxed, but we have three unvaxxed kids (2, 8 and 10).
We have Aulani (Disney resort) booked for New Years and a Disney cruise booked for July 2022. All of it has pretty generous cancellation policies, so our plan is to wait for one month out to make any final decisions. We will be considering quarantine requirements for school, case rates, mask requirements, and which amenities are open (a big part of booking Disney for us is the childcare, which may be closed or we may not be comfortable using it).
I am hoping we will feel safe with Hawaii in December since so much of our time would be outside, but I feel like it’s 50-50 on needing to cancel.

I didn't officially book it but was really hoping to get to Disneyland over fall break, or even a long weekend in Sept. But I've given up hope of that happening. My husband is immunocompromised so we have to be careful.
We were supposed to go to Disney 2 weeks ago and cancelled it the day-of. I was so disappointed. We booked it in April when we were all vaccinated and feeling bold. My cousin lives in Florida and was in WDW when she got a call that two people at her job tested positive to COVID and she was in close proximity to both a few days earlier. She could not get a Covid test anywhere in Orlando. Reports were coming out that Orlando was a hot spot because of Delta. She had to quarantine until she got her results (it took 3 days) and the bottom dropped out of the trip. She was negative but getting that call completely changed everyone’s comfort level.

I’m local and there are so many places to get tested day of; wondering if you’re cousin was being honest or just not really researching.
I just cancelled our October trip. We were about to be at our 30-day mark, which is the timeframe for the full refund through Costco, and I was confident extra time was not going to make us feel more comfortable with going.
Is anyone canceling 2022 yet? We are booked for early Jan and I’m getting nervous
We're still a ways out from our trip (last week of March 2022) but at that point I have to believe kids can be vaxxed and we'll be in a better spot. I mean, this can't go on forever and ever and ever, right? (This is mostly just me trying to be positive because at this point it really does seem like it will go on forever)
We are just planning Disneyland for January, but I am keeping it. My kids are good at masking and we have a rental house. Plus, we can drive if needed.
