What’s the sizing and quality like at The Children’s Place? Anywhere else I should be looking for dd, who will be in a size 6 for fall/winter? Poshmark is letting me down, so much that is not her style.

In my experience quality is poor and sizes run a bit small.
Tons of places to shop for kids clothes depending on what you are looking for - Gap kids Old navy Gymboree Justice Target Dicks Carter’s/osh kosh Kohls Lands end Ll bean
ETA - I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy from children’s place. But I would not expect the clothes to be good for hand me downs or to last longer than this season.
Children's Place works well for my skinny, tall kids. Their longer bike shorts are basically the only shorts my girls will wear. I just stocked up on a bunch of long sleeve tshirts for back to school.
We don't have to worry about hand me downs here, since they're in the same size. They're rough on clothes and don't really care too much about fashion, so honestly I just go for what's cheap and fits. Old Navy tends to be too short/wide to fit them well. Target leggings are good for us. I can't justify paying higher prices than that for clothes I know they're just going to destroy from playing outside, art projects, etc.
I liked them for my kids but I shopped for them years ago so not sure on quality now but at the time they lasted through 2 kids and were in good condition to be passed down to my nephew. Other go to places were Osh Kosh, Crazy 8, GAP, Kohl's and Old Navy (although these were slender fitting back then). Target used to have a good selection when they were younger but when they moved to Cat & Jack I didnt care for those.

I buy a lot of children's place stuff and it's held up pretty well IMO, even though it is a little cheaper quality. Like PP said, we love their longer bike shorts for my daughter and their legging multi packs.
My daughter is 8.5 and wears a 7/8 there. My son is turning 6 this month, and is so teeny that he's finally fitting in their 4T basketball shorts, and just barely at that LOL
Children's Place, Old Navy, Target, Wal-Mart are all great places for low end clothes that are going to take a beating and will be outgrown after the season. For DD we always have had to try on or at least have her there to hold it up to her. At age 6 I never spent a ton because stuff got ruined at school way to easily.
DD 10, we now shops more at H&M, Target, JCP, and online and are in between girls and juniors.
When my son was little CP quality wasn't great and the cut was skimpy. My kid was short and thin for his age, so the sizing was perfect for him. He always swam in Carter's, Osh Kosh and LandsEnd regular cut. I bought mostly at Gap because it was most convenient for me being in the same strip center as the grocery store. The mall and big box stores were a longer and more annoying drive.
Bernadine, does your DD have a preference and what size is she? I could look in my bin and see what I have for fall/winter and just fill up a priority mail flat rate box. My local consignment sale didn't happen, so they'll either go to a local consignment store or my buy nothing group.

I like Gap Kids, Old Navy, and Target (Cat and Jack brand).
Children’s Place pants are great for my skinny kid. Their regular sized pants tend to be slimmer than other brands, and they have adjustable waistbands. Old Navy pants are always too big in the waist.

That’s so sweet, thank you! She’s going into a size 6. Doesn’t have much of a style yet- sometimes she likes an outfit and sometimes she doesn’t, lol.

I will take a look tomorrow. I’m not sure how much size 6 I have, but I’ll PM you what I find.

I like TCP for one off things - since shipping is free. We also really like their jeans for my skinny girls. I have noticed any difference in qualify between Carter’s, TCP and Target.

I agree with pp, I tend to buy lots of separates or random things I need from TCP. I like that most of their pants have adjustable straps and they have a slim fit online for my skinny 6-year-old. I dislike most of their clothes though- I hate graphic tees and that seems to be their specialty. It holds up well for the price.
I don't find a good look with a consignment for boys after about size 6/7 but for girls its a gold mine. Just bought 10 dresses- all Boden, Hannah, Tea and Lilly for $25.

I wish we had a good consignment store around here! I may have to venture further to find one.
