BQ: After racing bikes for 23+ years I have so many. One that stands out is at the National Cyclocross (bike) Championships in Asheville, NC a few years ago. There was this really sick steep downhill that some of the women in my division apparently walked. I'd already ridden it a dozen times, but the lines kept changing throughout the week as more people raced the course. I got really far back behind my saddle and NAILED IT! So many of the spectators started cheering and yelling my name (helps to know a lot of people in my home region). It was an amazing feeling! A photographer got a picture, and it's one of my all time favorite.

Fri: rest/3.5 mile walk Sat: 4 mile run, 3.5 mile walk Sun: 9 mile run, chores
BQ: no question, my best races were the 2 Chicago Marathons I’ve run. And I’m just about ready to do it again in 2022. Everything about that marathon is so well run and both races (2016 and 2019) everything just went perfectly. Great weather, great weekend experience, great race. Like, I can’t imagine ever running a different marathon, because no way will a different race live up to Chicago. Which, I realize sounds ridiculous, but my experiences with that marathon are what keep me running.
Friday- nothing! Saturday- drove down to The Cape for the Falmouth Road race! Tried not to do so much as to save my energy for the big day. I spent a lot of time massaging and stretching yesterday. Sunday- Falmouth Road Race- 7 miles of sun and hills!
BQ- My best race was not even my PR. It was when I ran the Boston Athletic Association 5k without stopping to walk. I was so excited. I need to get back to running without walking breaks and get back to the pace I was at during that race. I have seriously gone backwards in a major way.

BQ: Once upon a time I was in some excellent shape and had a six pack. I could lift a lot. I also managed to run a half marathon. Those days are long gone... that's all I have to say about that.

Friday: nothing (completed day 3 of a deload week on Thursday) Saturday: nothing Sunday: Barbell Medicine Powerbuilding program, Week 1, D1 and GPP Day 1
BQ: I'm not lifting to compete in anything, just doing it for my own health. A couple weeks ago, I deadlifted 190 pounds, so that's my latest accomplishment. I can't wait to get 200!
