I'm getting a craft room (updated with pictures)

Just wanted to share with others who understand. I've had a corner of our family room that we had kinda sorta blocked off from our kids. But my 2 yo is too smart for his own good and got into that area regularly.

We just put the kids together into one room. So now, we have a spare room that will be my craft/sewing room and also has a bed in it for guests. I'm so excited!

We have spent the last 3 days moving everything around and I am trying to get the last bit of organization done because my husband's BFF is staying with us tomorrow night.

okay so my old method of posting pictures doesn't really work anymore (I used to upload to photobucket and link from there. now photobucket wants to charge me oodles of money to host my pictures so I'm done with them). how do people upload their pictures without using the tapatalk app? I strongly prefer accessing this through my browser.

I read the boards through by browser and just have the tapa talk app for uploading pictures. I don’t like the format there either.

It's a total mess right now. It's also my office and I was studying for my NP board certification exam all last week. HOWEVER, I am spending this week cleaning up more and organizing and I'll have pictures soon, I promise!

Finally! Got the room cleaned up and organized (had some mental health stuff). Still not 100% done, and obvs, I have some works-in-progress out (as always) and there is a pile of containers needing something to put in them, but it is definitely progress! That big yarn basket holds all of my crochet projects that will be Christmas gifts. That gray rocking chair needs to be stored somewhere, it was the chair that was in my kids' rooms when they were babies. I thought I could sew in it but it is too low. Cutting mats are stored flat underneath the bed. Yarn fills all but one of those fabric cubbies, lol. And the majority of my fabric is in plastic bins in a storage room off the garage.

I want to do some kind of skirt around th sewing table. I will probably piece together scrap fabrics in my fave colors. I want to hang some decor, probably signs with vinyl sayings on it, maybe some embroidery or crochet wall art. I'm still considering whether I want to frame the pegboards. There is a small quilt on the bed that I want to hang on the wall over it, that was a gift from my MIL. I don't love the baskets on top of the cubby storage unit.

You can't see the pile of WIPs that are along the wall behind the door/in front of the sewing machine. That needs a big drawer unit. And my ceiling fan/light is definitely a baseball and bats are the fan blades, lol.

Yay! What a great space! My Kallax is full of supplies and doesn't have drawers. It makes for easy access, but it's a visual mess. Yours looks so nice.

I put drawers in half of my spaces (I have a 5x5 Kallax) and it's just enough.

Just popping in to say I have decided to turn one of my bedrooms into a craft room as well. I really like how yours turned out!
