My niece was in close contact with another kid at school who tested positive for Covid on Thursday (they’re in 2nd grade).
Now my sister and her family of 5 need to quarantine and get tested.
Before finding out about the close contact, we spent a few hours together having dinner and the kids played with each other.
Does this mean we also have to quarantine and test?
I’m not sure what the protocol is. Help!
Vaccinated family members of your niece do not need to quarantine unless they have symptoms, but they should still test 3-5 days out. Your family doesn’t need to quarantine or test unless niece or fam tests positive.

I organized the pantry to get ready for school starting, omg, I threw out so much expired food 😩 I need to do a better job keeping it organized so that doesn't happen again.
We are traveling a bunch this fall for baseball, I am having the worst time trying to find a dog sitter! The dates are high demand (ie. Holiday weekends) so I don't know why it is so hard.

How expired? We eat 2 year old granola bars and such quite often. Usually they are just fine.
ETA: Did not mean to suggest you should have eatten them. Was simply curious if DH and I are living too much on the edge.
Thanks for the clarification ladies! This helps to ease my worries about sending my kids to school tomorrow. Fingers crossed my niece tests negative later this week. 🤞🏽
